With Ahmad Bradshaw (leg) out for the season, the Colts started unheralded running back Dan Herron against the Jaguars. He acquitted himself well, rushing 12 times for 65 yards (5.4 ypc) and catching all five of his targets for 31 yards. He did lose a fumble.
Trent Richardson saw a similar workload on the ground, rushing 13 times for 42 yards (3.2 ypc). It was Richardson who got the goal-line carry in the third quarter, and he punched in a 1-yard touchdown, his third score this season. Richardson was targeted once without a catch.
They figure to split the workload again Week 13 against the Redskins.
