76ers' Paul George: Listed out vs. Boston
George (knee) is out for Friday's game against Boston.
George will remain out for a fifth game in a row to begin the season. The star forward's absence has been dragging along, considering he's been cleared to practice for over a week now. Until the 76ers give him clearance to play, Kelly Oubre is well worth streaming consideration in most fantasy leagues.

76ers' Jared McCain: Team option picked up
The 76ers picked up McCain's (thumb) team option for 2026-27 on Thursday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
McCain's option is valued at $4.42 million, and it's not a surprise to see the franchise like up the sharpshooter. McCain practiced with the team Thursday after missing the beginning of the season recovering from thumb surgery, setting him up for a potential return in early November. It's unclear how he'll fit into the backcourt, with Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe playing so well.

76ers' Jared McCain: Practiced with team Thursday
McCain (thumb) practiced with the team Thursday, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.
McCain has been sidelined to start the season due to thumb surgery, and his spectacular rookie season ended short due to a torn meniscus, but it's encouraging to see him back in practice. He is projected to make his season debut in early November, but unless news comes out that may alter that timeline, expect him to be back on the court by then. It's also unclear how he'll fit into the backcourt, with Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe playing so well.

76ers' Dominick Barlow: Out two more games
Barlow (elbow) will be sidelined for the next two games, Tony Jones of The Athletic reported Thursday.
Barlow was the only player on the 76ers who was held out of Thursday's practice. Based on this timetable, his next chance to return to the lineup will be Nov. 4 against the Bulls. He fared well in his only two appearances of the season with 7.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

76ers' Trendon Watford: Receives 18 minutes in debut
Watford (hamstring) logged two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds and three assists across 18 minutes in Tuesday's 139-134 overtime win over the Wizards.
Sidelined for Philadelphia's first three games due to a tight left hamstring, Watford was cleared to make his season debut Tuesday and provided the 76ers with some reinforcement at forward while Paul George (knee) and Dominick Barlow (elbow) were both out. Watford handled a meager 8.9 percent usage rate in the contest and came up empty in the defensive categories, but he finished second to only sixth man Quentin Grimes (39 minutes) in playing time among bench players. Even so, Watford is still likely to see his minutes get cut once the likes of George, Barlow and Jared McCain (thumb) return, and it wouldn't be surprising if Watford was dropped from head coach Nick Nurse's rotation entirely.

76ers' Joel Embiid: Plays 23 minutes in win
Embiid provided 25 points (9-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one block across 23 minutes during Tuesday's 139-134 overtime victory over Washington.
Embiid logged 23 minutes in the win, an encouraging sign for anyone rostering him. His production also increased, scoring a season-high 25 points. Despite being clearly hampered by his ongoing knee concerns, Embiid once again proved that he can be a valuable contributor. It appears his lack of mobility and elevation could limit what he can do on the defensive end, meaning he is unlikely to push for first-round fantasy value at this point in his career.

76ers' Quentin Grimes: Drops 23 points Tuesday
Grimes accumulated 23 points (7-17 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals in 39 minutes during Tuesday's 139-134 overtime win over Washington.
Grimes played a whopping 39 minutes, scoring at least 20 points for the second time in the past three games. He has now seen at least 30 minutes in three of his four games, despite continuing to come off the bench. While there is some uncertainty about his long-term role, he should be rostered in all formats for now.

76ers' Adem Bona: Blocks five shots in win
Bona closed Tuesday's 139-134 overtime victory over Washington with two points (1-3 FG), five rebounds and five blocks over 18 minutes.
Bona shifted back to the bench with Joel Embiid returning to the lineup, playing just 18 minutes. However, during his limited time on the floor, Bona blocked a season-high five shots, closing the game with Embiid himself on a minutes restriction. Bona's defensive energy was a key factor in the comeback win, and could earn him a few more minutes moving forward. With that said, he is nothing more than a streaming candidate as long as Embiid remains healthy.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Massive double-double in win
Maxey amassed 39 points (11-25 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 14-16 FT), 10 assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block across 47 minutes during Tuesday's 139-134 overtime win over the Wizards.
Maxey led all players in points and assists, recording his first double-double of the season. The star point guard wasn't highly efficient from three-point range but got to the charity stripe often, falling just short of his third game with at least 40 points through four regular-season contests. Over that span, he's averaging 37.5 points, 8.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 43.0 minutes per game.

76ers' Jabari Walker: Sliding to bench Tuesday
Walker won't start in Tuesday's game against the Wizards.
With Justin Edwards getting the starting nod against Washington, Walker will retreat to the second unit. The two-way player is averaging 3.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per game through three regular-season appearances (one start).

76ers' Adem Bona: Back to bench Tuesday
Bona is coming off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Wizards.
As expected, Bona will revert back to the second unit for Joel Embiid's (rest) return. Bona will not have nearly as much streaming appeal Tuesday as he did Monday, when he recorded seven points (2-3 FG, 3-5 FT), four rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 25 minutes during Philadelphia's 136-124 win over the Magic.

76ers' Justin Edwards: Starting Tuesday
Edwards will start in Tuesday's game against the Wizards.
The 21-year-old forward will supplant Jabari Walker in the starting lineup Tuesday. Edwards has appeared in two regular-season games, averaging 7.0 points and 1.0 rebounds across 15.5 minutes per contest.

76ers' Joel Embiid: Not on injury report
Embiid (knee) is available for Tuesday's game against the Wizards.
After sitting out the front end of the back-to-back set Monday against Orlando, Embiid is no longer showing up on the injury report. He fared well in his last outing against the Hornets with 20 points (7-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), two rebounds, four assists and two steals over 20 minutes, so it will be interesting to see if he's given a few more minutes this time around.

76ers' Paul George: Confirmed out for Tuesday
George (knee) won't play Tuesday against the Wizards.
George will remain sidelined for the fourth game in a row to open the season. He's been able to practice in recent days, and he's expected to get the green light to return in the near future as long as he continues to progress.

76ers' Trendon Watford: Good to go Tuesday
Watford (hamstring) will play Tuesday against the Wizards, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.
Watford is all set to make his season debut after a hamstring issue delayed him to open the campaign. He's likely to be eased back into the mix, but there is a path to minutes for him with so many injuries in the frontcourt.

76ers' Jabari Walker: Modest statline in win
Walker posted four points (2-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), five rebounds and a block across 14 minutes in Monday's 136-124 win over Orlando.
Walker was elevated to the starting lineup with Dominick Barlow (elbow) out, but the former was unable to capitalize on the opportunity. Despite starting, Walker actually played fewer minutes than the previous two games when he came off the bench, but playing with the first unit indicates the coaching staff trusts him to have a positive impact on games.
