This was Watson's 24th career game with at least three blocks, and he's been one of the best shot-blocking wings in the NBA in recent years. Watson is seeing 20.8 minutes per contest through four games to open the season, and he's managed to put up 11th-round fantasy value in nine-category formats despite a 10.2 percent usage rate.

Johnson produced seven points (2-4 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one assist over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 122-88 victory over the Pelicans.
Johnson played through a minor shoulder concern, albeit unproductively. It's been an underwhelming start to his career in Denver, averaging just 8.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 three-pointers in 25.7 minutes per game. While he will almost certainly be better than this moving forward, it appears as though it could be a down season when compared to what he has done in Brooklyn over the past three years.

Jones played no more than six minutes for the fourth straight game, scoring his first basket of the season. Denver is poised to make a deep push this season, limiting the opportunities for players such as Jones. Don't expect to see him playing meaningful minutes, outside of injury-related absences to other players.

Strawther logged a season-high 11 minutes, continuing what has been a quiet start for the score-first guard. Despite averaging a career-high 21.3 minutes during the 2024-25 season, it appears as though Strawther has slipped down the pecking order, likely as a result of the addition of Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway. At this point, Strawther seems destined to serve as a depth piece, rather than a meaningful part of the rotation.

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Extends triple-double streak
Jokic generated 21 points (10-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt), 12 rebounds, 10 assists and two steals in 28 minutes of Wednesday's 122-88 win over the Pelicans.
Jokic has now amassed a triple-double in four straight games to open the season, and while his rebound and assist totals didn't go far into double figures, snaring a triple-double in just 28 minutes is quite a feat. The center had played 32 or more minutes in his first three games of the season. Jokic had two triple-double streaks of at least four games last year, with one ending at four and one stopping after five.

Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Cleared to face New Orleans
Johnson (shoulder) will play in Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette reports.
Johnson suffered a minor shoulder injury during Monday's loss to Minnesota and was forced to exit the contest early. However, the 29-year-old has been cleared to suit up and play Wednesday. In two full games this season, Johnson is averaging 10.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals across 28.5 minutes.

The veteran forward topped 30 minutes for the first time in three games as a member of the Nuggets, and Hardaway's 20 points and four made threes were more than he produced in the first two games combined. The elevated usage came in part as a result of Cameron Johnson (shoulder) checking in and out of the lineup before finally calling it a night in the fourth quarter. If Johnson winds up missing additional time, Hardaway should see a bigger workload and could move into the starting five.

Murray amassed 43 points (16-29 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes during Monday's 127-114 win over Minnesota.
It was the seventh time in the 27-year-old point guard's career that he's scored 40 or more points during a regular-season contest, and three of those performances have come in 2025 -- once each in January and February toward the end of last season, and then Monday's eruption. He's also hit for 40-plus six times in the playoffs. Murray is off to a flying start to 2025-26, averaging 30.3 points, 6.0 assists, 5.0 boards, 3.0 threes and 1.3 steals through three games while shooting 53.0 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from three-point range, both of which would be career highs.

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Emphatic triple-double in win
Jokic accumulated 25 points (9-10 FG, 7-7 FT), 19 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and one block across 36 minutes in Monday's 127-114 win over the Timberwolves.
Jokic was wicked Monday, missing just one shot from the field while pacing all players with 19 rebounds and 10 assists. The superstar center has now posted a triple-double in each of the Nuggets' first three games after racking up 34 during the regular season last year. As impressive as this start has been for the three-time MVP, he's yet to fully showcase his elite scoring touch, suggesting even bigger performances could be on the horizon.

Johnson (shoulder) didn't return to Monday's 127-114 win over the Timberwolves. He finished with five points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes.
Johnson exited to the locker room in the first quarter but eventually returned in the second. However, the 29-year-old forward left again in the fourth quarter and didn't check back in due to right shoulder soreness. His status will be worth monitoring ahead of Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, with the Nuggets expected to provide an update by Tuesday night.
