Top Olivier-Maxence Prosper News

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Absent from injury report

Prosper (wrist) is not listed on the injury report for Wednesday's game versus the Knicks.

Prosper is set to return from a one-game absence due to a right wrist injury. The third-year big man has been impressive for the Grizzlies of late, averaging 15.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.9 three-pointers across 24.6 minutes per game in his last nine appearances, shooting 43.6 percent from beyond the arc over this span.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Downgraded to out

Prosper (wrist) is out for Monday's game against Phoenix.

Prosper has been officially downgraded to out due to a right wrist injury. Taylor Hendricks and Tyler Burton should be in for plenty of minutes with the Grizzlies battling a plethora of injuries in the frontcourt.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Doubtful for Monday

Prosper (wrist) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Suns.

Prosper is dealing with right wrist soreness and is expected to miss his first game since Feb. 9. If the 23-year-old is ultimately ruled out, Taylor Hendricks and Tyler Burton would likely see increased playing time in the frontcourt.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Nets career-high 31 points

Prosper closed with 31 points (12-15 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and two steals across 29 minutes during Friday's 119-109 loss to the Rockets.

Prosper got into some early foul trouble and was limited to just five points through the first half of play, but he caught fire after halftime and finished with a new career high in points. Prosper has been on a heater over the past two games, scoring a total of 48 points on 18-for-25 shooting over that stretch.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Puts up 17 points in loss

Prosper produced 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and five rebounds over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 123-98 loss to the Spurs.

Prosper has been enjoying additional minutes due to the lack of frontcourt options available on the Memphis roster, and for the most part, the big man has been getting the job done. He's scored in double digits in 13 of his 18 consecutive starts dating back to Feb. 21, averaging 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He's a decent option to target if you need frontcourt depth late in the fantasy playoffs, given his steady playing time, as he's averaging 25.4 minutes per game since the All-Star break.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Stuffs stat sheet Friday

Prosper racked up 14 points (4-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Friday's 117-112 loss to the Celtics.

Prosper continues to thrive in a starting role and has been extremely consistent both as a scorer and as a rebounding asset. Over his last nine starts, Prosper has scored in double digits eight times while averaging a solid line of 14.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest. Look for Prosper to remain in the starting lineup as long as he stays healthy, as he figures to continue handling a big role following all the movements the Grizzlies made after the trade deadline back in early February.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Best scoring output as starter

Prosper chipped in 19 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT), one rebound and two steals in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 125-118 victory over Denver.

This wasn't Prosper's best scoring performance of the season, as he delivered a 25-point effort in a loss to the Trail Blazers on Feb. 7, and it wasn't his best mark since the break, as he scored 23 in a win over Utah on Feb. 20. However, it's worth noting that this was his best scoring mark in a starting role. Prosper moved to a starting role Feb. 21 and hasn't looked back, averaging 12.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game in those 14 contests. His role as a starter is enough to consider him a solid fantasy alternative in most formats, especially since he's scored in double digits in all but one of his last eight appearances.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Shooting struggles in narrow defeat

Prosper closed with nine points (4-13 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 0-3 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and three steals in 27 minutes during Thursday's 120-112 loss to Dallas.

Prosper's efficiency took a major hit, as he struggled to find his mark from both the perimeter and the free-throw line. Despite the cold shooting, the third-year pro remained productive in other areas, nearly reaching a double-double with eight boards and adding three steals. Since signing a standard two-year contract in early March, Prosper has been a consistent fixture in the Grizzlies' injury-depleted frontcourt. Over his last 11 games as a starter, he is averaging 11.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 25.0 minutes per night.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Starting role continues

Prosper ended Monday's 126-115 loss to the Nets with 15 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block in 32 minutes.

Prosper scored double digits for the fifth time in his past seven games, continuing to operate as the starting center. During that span, he has flirted with top-140 value in standard formats, averaging 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.6 three-pointers in 25.4 minutes per contest. Despite the opportunity. Prosper's overall value is somewhat limited. At best, he should be viewed as a stream-level player, rather than someone who has to be held through any unfavorable stretches.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Flirts with double-double

Prosper totaled 17 points (5-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-10 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and two steals over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 122-114 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Fresh off signing a new two-year contract with the Grizzlies, Prosper cobbled together another encouraging performance, falling one rebound short of a double-double. As basically the last center standing, Prosper has quietly put himself on the standard league radar. In eight games over the past two weeks, he has been a top-100 asset in standard formats, averaging 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 0.9 three-pointers in 25.4 minutes per contest.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Lands two-year deal

The Grizzlies signed Prosper to a standard two-year deal Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Prosper was previously on a two-way contract, but the forward has impressed in recent outings with so many injuries on the roster. Over his last five games, he's averaging 11.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.8 three-pointers in 23.0 minutes per contest.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: First career double-double

Prosper racked up 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals across 25 minutes during Friday's 124-105 victory over the Mavericks.

Making his fourth straight start in an injury-ravaged Grizzlies frontcourt, Prosper recorded his first career double-double while also making an impact on the defensive end. The third-year pro took on a more sizable workload in February, when he averaged 13.1 points, 5.0 boards, 1.6 threes, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals in 24.3 minutes per contest while shooting 56.5 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent (16-for-36) from beyond the arc over 10 games (five starts).

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Productive again Monday

Prosper ended with 17 points (7-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 25 minutes during Monday's 123-114 loss to the Kings.

Prosper continues to play well, having now put up top-45 value in four appearances over the past two weeks. During that span, he has averaged 15.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 0.8 three-pointers, shooting 72.2 percent from the field and 88.9 percent from the line. It seems as though Memphis is going to be comfortable throwing any number of players out there on a nightly basis, with around 26 minutes being the average limit for them. Keeping this in mind, Prosper is someone to at least consider picking up, just to see if he can maintain his current momentum.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Nets 23 points on 16 shots in win

Prosper supplied 23 points (10-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals across 30 minutes during Friday's 123-114 win over the Jazz.

Prosper brought some nice energy off the bench and helped the Grizzlies hit the brakes on a four-game skid. He's been shooting the lights out over the past three games, scoring 20.7 points per game on 69.4 percent shooting from the field and 75.0 percent at the line to go with 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 treys and 1.0 steals per contest.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Returns with 14 points

Prosper accumulated 14 points (6-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt), five rebounds and one steal over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 122-116 loss to the Nuggets.

The Nuggets will face a tough decision regarding Prosper, as he is available for only 12 more games under his current contract. The team may take their chances and use that allotment until Aaron Gordon (hamstring) is back, or they could send Prosper back to the G League to save him for the final month. Due to the uncertainty surrounding his nightly status, he's a risky fantasy prospect.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Inactive for Monday's loss

Prosper (two-way) was inactive for Monday's 114-113 loss to the Warriors.

Prosper had logged double-digit minutes in each of the Grizzlies' previous eight games, but Memphis elected to keep him inactive Monday, despite five players being ruled out with injuries and 10-day signee Lawson Lovering having yet to join the team. The Grizzlies likely decided to hold Prosper out in order to manage his availability; the two-way player has already suited up for 37 games with Memphis this season, meaning that he can be active for just 13 more contests before he would need to be converted to a standard deal to be eligible to play at the NBA level. With that in mind, expect Prosper's appearances to be somewhat sporadic moving forward, especially as the Memphis frontcourt gradually gets strengthened by the returns of Santi Aldama (knee), Zach Edey (ankle) and Brandon Clarke (calf) from injury.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Posts career-high 25 points

Prosper ended with 25 points (9-13 FG, 7-8 3Pt) and five rebounds over 25 minutes during Saturday's 122-115 loss to Portland.

Prosper is well positioned to succeed after Jaren Jackson's trade, and although he's still coming off the bench, he's getting his first real chance as a daily contributor in the league. A return to the G League is highly unlikely for Prosper, who should be a key part of Memphis' rebuilding effort as the team's playoff hopes fade.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Slides back to bench

Prosper isn't part of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Portland.

The Grizzlies have been severely shorthanded in the frontcourt recently, and it was Prosper who was called upon to serve as the team's starting center last time out. However, Kyle Anderson is available Saturday night, and the veteran forward will take over center duties from Prosper. Given the Grizzlies' sheer lack of bodies, expect Prosper to see significant run off the bench.

  • Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Hits for 13 in spot start

Prosper closed with 13 points (3-13 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes during Friday's 135-115 loss to Portland.

The 2023 first-round pick made his first start of the season with Santi Aldama (knee) unavailable, and Prosper responded by tying his season high in points, a mark he had just set Jan. 31 against Minnesota. Prosper has seen a larger role in the frontcourt rotation over the last week, averaging 9.3 points, 5.5 boards, 1.0 assists, 1.0 threes and 0.8 steals in 22.8 minutes across the last four games, but he'll face increased competition for court time once the newly acquired Taylor Hendricks and Kyle Anderson (illness) are up to speed.
