Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Bench role Thursday
Reid will come off the bench during Thursday's preseason game against the Knicks.
After starting the last two preseason games, Reid will retreat to the bench with Jaden McDaniels in the first unit. Reid finished with 10 points, three rebounds, one assist and two steals across 16 minutes as a starter during the team's 135-134 loss to the Pacers.

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Starting again Tuesday
Reid will start Tuesday's preseason game against the Pacers.
With Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards resting, Reid started the Timberwolves' preseason opener against the Nuggets on Saturday and scored 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt) in 12 minutes. Edwards and Randle will be back in action Tuesday, but Jaden McDaniels (rest) is out, allowing Reid to draw another start.

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Getting starting nod Saturday
Reid is in the starting lineup for Saturday's preseason game against the Nuggets.
The Timberwolves will be resting some of their regular starters, and with Julius Randle (rest) among those out, Reid will get the nod at power forward. Reid is no stranger to being part of the first unit, though. He averaged 18.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.3 blocks per game in 17 regular-season starts during the 2024-25 campaign.

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: To sign five-year deal with Minny
The Timberwolves will sign Reid to a new five-year deal, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Reid is coming off another stellar season for Minnesota, as his numbers improved across the board during the 2024-25 campaign. The LSU product missed only two games during the regular season and put up career-high totals in points (14.2), rebounds (6.0) and assists (2.3) per game while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from deep.
