Aldama continues to slowly climb up draft boards, thanks largely to the fact that Memphis is already dealing with injuries to multiple key players. Having proven he can be an adequate fill-in when required, the expectation is that he will be in the starting lineup, at least to begin the season. Although his upside is relatively limited, he should see enough court time to warrant a roster spot in most standard fantasy leagues.

Grizzlies' Santi Aldama: Signs three-year deal with MEM
Aldama agreed to a three-year, $52.5 million contract with the Grizzlies on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Aldama was slated to hit the open market as a restricted free agent, but the Grizzlies wasted no time locking in the standout forward for multiple seasons. The 24-year-old appeared in 65 regular-season games in 2024-25, averaging 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists on 48/37/69 shooting splits across 25.5 minutes. With Jaylen Wells and Jaren Jackson expected to start at the forward positions, Aldama should be one of the first players off the bench in 2025-26.

Grizzlies' Santi Aldama: Receives qualifying offer
The Grizzlies tendered Aldama a one-year, $5.94 million qualifying offer Sunday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Aldama will be a restricted free agent as a result. The versatile forward is coming off the best season of his career, having averaged 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 25.5 minutes per game across 65 regular-season appearances, including 16 starts, during the 2024-25 campaign.

Grizzlies' Santi Aldama: Pops for 23 as season ends
Aldama ended Saturday's 117-115 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 23 points (9-13 FG, 5-7 3Pt), nine rebounds and three assists across 40 minutes.
Getting his first start of the playoffs with Ja Morant (hip) sidelined, Aldama topped 20 points for the first time in April, but it wasn't enough to prevent the Grizzlies from getting swept. The fourth-year big took a step forward with his level of play this season, and assuming he returns to the club as a restricted free agent, he should again have a key role in the Memphis frontcourt in 2025-26 alongside Jaren Jackson and Zach Edey.

Aldama was a key player for Memphis during the regular season with 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.8 three-pointers across 65 appearances, but he's been struggling in the postseason. In two games versus the Thunder, Aldama has averaged 7.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 three-pointers on a combined 6-of-17 shooting from the field. Zach Edey has struggled even more, however, so the Grizzlies could be looking to shake things up in Game 3 with the team staring at a 2-0 deficit.
