Top Cam Reddish News

  • Cam Reddish: Waived by Los Angeles

Los Angeles waived Reddish on Thursday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.

Reddish, who had fallen out of favor in Los Angeles, was waived to make a roster spot for Jordan Goodwin. In 33 total appearances for the Lakers, Reddish averaged 3.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals on 40.4 percent shooting from the field.

  • Lakers' Cam Reddish: Makes first cameo since Jan. 28

Reddish recorded zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and recorded no statistics over his seven minutes of court time in Friday's 131-126 loss to the Nuggets.

With eight players being held out Friday due to injury or illness, the Lakers dusted Reddish off for the first time since Jan. 28. Reddish played one ineffective shift in the second quarter before remaining on the bench for the rest of the game, illustrating just how far he's fallen in the pecking order after he had been a rotation player throughout November and December. Reddish had initially been traded to Charlotte ahead of the Feb. 6 deadline, but he ultimately stayed put in Los Angeles after the Lakers nixed the deal due to concerns about the physical of Hornets center Mark Williams.

  • Lakers' Cam Reddish: Off injury report vs. Charlotte

Reddish (personal) is off the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

Reddish is set to return from an eight-game absence Wednesday due to personal reasons. The 25-year-old was included in the trade that would have sent Dalton Knecht to Charlotte in exchange for Mark Williams (reconditioning). However, both Knecht and Reddish are back in Los Angeles after the trade was rescinded, and they are both candidates for a bump in minutes if LeBron James (foot) is downgraded from questionable to out.

  • Lakers' Cam Reddish: Won't play Wednesday

Reddish (personal) is out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.

Reddish will remain sidelined due to personal reasons for Los Angeles' final game before the All-Star break. The veteran forward's next chance to suit up for the Lakers arrives Feb. 19 against the Hornets.

  • Lakers' Cam Reddish: Out for Monday

Reddish (personal) is listed out for Monday's game against the Jazz, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.

Reddish was part of the trade-deadline deal that sent him, Dalton Knecht, a 2031 first-round pick and a 2030 first-round pick swap to Charlotte in exchange for Mark Williams, but the Lakers ultimately rescinded the trade after Williams failed his physical. As a result, Reddish will be reintegrated with the Lakers, but he'll be out for at least one more game before suiting up with the club.

  • Lakers' Cam Reddish: Sticking in Los Angeles

The trade between the Lakers and Hornets involving Reddish, Mark Williams and Dalton Knecht was rescinded Saturday, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.

According to McMenamin, the Lakers have relayed that the trade fell through because the Hornets failed to satisfy a condition of the deal. Bobby Marks of ESPN.com adds that because the deadline has passed, the trade was not allowed to be amended. Reddish had fallen out of the Lakers rotation ahead of the deadline, and a path to playing time looks even more difficult now with Luka Doncic (calf) in the fold and expected to make his team debut during the upcoming week.

  • Hornets' Cam Reddish: Questionable to play Sunday

Reddish (recently traded) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Detroit.

Reddish has been attending to a personal matter, which caused him to miss the Lakers' two games prior to being traded to the Hornets on Thursday. The trade involving Reddish, Dalton Knecht and Mark Williams is still pending and will need to be finalized before any of those three see the floor for their new teams.

  • Hornets' Cam Reddish: Listed as out for Friday

Reddish (not with team) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Spurs.

While fellow trade-deadline acquisitions Dalton Knecht and Jusuf Nurkic are listed as questionable with trade pending designations, Reddish remains out with a personal tag. It's unclear when Reddish may be able to suit up again, but his next chance to make his Hornets debut will come Sunday in Detroit.
