Nassir Little: Cut by Heat
Little was waived by the Heat on Saturday.
After spending his first four seasons in Portland, Little took a step back during his time in Phoenix last season. The wing averaged just 3.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.5 assists across 10.2 minutes per game. He was unable to make enough of an impression to land on Miami's final roster, so the sixth-year pro will have to look for a new opportunity.

Nassir Little: Let go by Phoenix
The Suns waived Little on Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Little signed a four-year, $28 million extension with the Trail Blazers in October of 2022 and was traded to the Suns in September of 2023. He made only 45 regular-season appearances (two starts) for Phoenix last season, averaging 3.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 10.2 minutes. He's still owed $22 million, which will be stretched out over multiple years. The Suns also waived E.J. Liddell.

Suns' Nassir Little: Gets garbage-time run in return
Little (knee) played the final 2:58 of Thursday's 127-112 loss to the Celtics, finishing with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound.
Little was available to play for the first time since late February after a two-plus-week absence due to left knee inflammation, but as had been the case before him missing time with the injury, he wasn't a part of head coach Frank Vogel's rotation. He didn't check into the game until less than three minutes remained in the contest, when Boston had already built an 18-point lead and Phoenix had essentially conceded the win.

Suns' Nassir Little: Good to go Thursday
Little (knee) has been cleared for Thursday's game against Boston, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Little expressed confidence earlier Thursday hat he would be able to suit up, and he's now officially available for a primetime matchup with Boston. The fifth-year forward has averaged just 2.0 points and 2.0 rebounds and 8.7 minutes across his last three healthy appearances and may not be included in the rotation.

Suns' Nassir Little: Out another week
Coach Frank Vogel said Wednesday that Little underwent a PRP injection for his left knee inflammation that will sideline him "for a week or so", Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Little has already missed Phoenix's last four contests due to left knee inflammation and will remain out for at least another week. However, Little's continued absence shouldn't significantly affect the Suns' rotation.
