Celtics' Hugo Gonzalez: Poor shooting effort in SL loss
Gonzalez totaled 10 points (3-12 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds and three assists over 27 minutes in Monday's 100-96 Summer League loss to the Heat.
Gonzalez struggled with his shot for a second consecutive game and is now 7-for-24 from the field and 4-for-12 from three-point range in Summer League play. The No. 28 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft spent last season competing with Real Madrid in EuroLeague.

Gonzalez racked up 12 points (4-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-5 FT), four rebounds, five assists, one steal and two blocks across 28 minutes during Friday's Summer League 92-78 win against the Grizzlies.
Gonzalez got off to a good start to his first Summer League stint, as he contributed in multiple areas. The rookie forward was selected with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft and will be looking to make an impression in Las Vegas.

Gonzalez played in the EuroLeague for Real Madrid last season, an impressive feat for a 19-year-old, appearing in 57 games and averaging just 10 minutes. At 6-foot-6, Gonzalez is a heady wing who plays at his own pace and uses his strong frame to get to his spots. He's a solid passer but can be a bit careless with the ball. Overall, Gonzalez's skill set should translate to the NBA, though he'll need to refine certain parts of his game before making an impact on the Celtics, who are in limbo after Jayson Tatum's (Achilles) injury.
