Timberwolves' Isaiah Evans: Scores 22 points with 22 shots
Rotowire
Evans delivered 22 points (9-22 FG, 4-15 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds and an assist across 26 minutes in Wednesday's 114-98 Summer League win over the Pacers.
Evans didn't shoot the ball well and struggled massively from beyond the arc, but he was still one of the top players for the Timberwolves in this 16-point victory. The former Duke standout and second-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft had scored six points combined over his previous two Summer League appearances, so this was a step in the right direction.

Timberwolves' Isaiah Evans: Inks four-year deal
Rotowire
Evans agreed to a four-year, $9.3 million deal with Minnesota on Sunday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Evans, the No. 33 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft, is coming off his best collegiate season. In 38 appearances with the Blue Devils in 2025-26, which includes four NCAA Tournament games, the 20-year-old averaged 15.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 blocks and 0.7 steals across 28.2 minutes. Evans was projected to be selected earlier in the draft, potentially somewhere in the first round. However, he is now in Minnesota, where he will have a chance to earn meaningful minutes right away.

Timberwolves' Isaiah Evans: Struggles in Summer League debut
Rotowire
Evans finished with four points (2-15 FG, 0-9 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 26 minutes in Saturday's 101-82 Summer League loss to the Nuggets.
Evans made his Summer League debut Saturday after the draft-night trade sending him to Minnesota was finalized. Although he finished second on the team in field-goal attempts, the 33rd overall pick in this year's draft struggled mightily with efficiency and scored just four points. He'll look to bounce back in Monday's game against Portland.

Timberwolves' Isaiah Evans: Nets trade rights to Timberwolves
Rotowire
The Nets selected Evans with the No. 33 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft and traded his rights to the Timberwolves, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
In the deal that sent Julius Randle to Brooklyn and Nic Claxton to Chicago, Minnesota picked up the No. 33 overall pick and used it on Evans, who somewhat surprisingly fell to the Round 2. The 20-year-old logged 74 regular-season appearances for Duke, averaging 11.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.4 blocks and 0.5 steals over 21.2 minutes per contest. Although he's not the most athletic player in the draft, he's certainly one of the most accurate, as evidenced by his career 38.0 percent shooting from downtown. Evans will compete for backup minutes behind LaMelo Ball, following a blockbuster trade that sent Naz Reid and numerous picks to Charlotte.
