  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Moves outside of rotation

Holland (coach's decision) failed to get off the bench Monday in the Pistons' 94-88 loss to the Magic in Game 4 of the first-round playoff series. With head coach J.B. Bickerstaff electing to scale down his rotation for the last two games, Holland has failed to get off the bench in both contests after logging 18 combined minutes in the first two playoff tilts. Holland's lack of floor-spacing ability is likely a factor in the Pistons' decision to drop him from the rotation. Detroit has thus far converted on just 27.5 percent of its three-point attempts in the series, and Holland -- who shot 25.1 percent on 2.6 attempts per game from downtown during the regular season -- can't be counted upon to provide much help in that area.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Fares well off bench

Holland racked up 18 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 22 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 137-111 victory over the Bucks. Kevin Huerter (illness) sat this game out, allowing Holland to see increased reps with the second unit. He's been underwhelming over his last eight appearances with 7.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in 19.1 minutes per contest.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Drops 11 points in blowout

Holland chipped in 11 points (4-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, one block and one steal across 20 minutes during Saturday's 116-93 win over Philadelphia. Holland saw some additional playing time, closing the game while the starters got some well-deserved rest. Although he has been a regular piece for the Pistons, Holland's role is typically limited to no more than about 20 minutes. As a player who has been well outside the top 250 this season, fantasy managers needn't consider him outside of very deep leagues.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Limited action in win

Holland totaled two points (1-6 FG), seven rebounds and four assists in 19 minutes during Thursday's 129-108 victory over the Pelicans. Even though the Pistons were without Duncan Robinson (wrist), Holland wasn't very involved for Detroit. Meanwhile, Kevin Huerter posted 22 points in 34 minutes of a fill-in start. Over his last eight games, Holland is averaging a mere 15.5 minutes per contest.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Serviceable production Friday

Holland had 11 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one block and one steal across 22 minutes during Friday's 115-101 victory over Golden State. Holland chipped in on both ends of the floor, albeit on low volume. While he has been able to carve out a consistent role, his per-minute production has been far from exciting. In 17 appearances over the past month, he has averaged just 9.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in 19.0 minutes per game, leaving him outside the top 250 during that time.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Not listed on injury report

Holland (eye) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Saturday's game versus the Nets. Holland exited Thursday's loss to the Spurs after suffering a left eye injury, but the issue won't impact his status for Saturday's game. Holland is averaging 8.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Suffers eye injury

Holland won't return to Thursday's game against San Antonio due to a left eye injury. He'll end with 10 points (4-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and five rebounds in 12 minutes. It's not clear when Holland suffered the injury, but he's been shut down with six minutes remaining in the contest. Ausar Thompson (ankle) is also unlikely to return, so Javonte Green and Isaiah Stewart could pick up a few minutes down the stretch.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Light minutes in return

Holland (personal) provided seven points (3-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 12 minutes Thursday in the Pistons' 126-111 win over the Knicks. Back in action after missing the Pistons' final two games before the All-Star break due to a personal matter, Holland handled a small role on the second unit in his return and was efficient with his limited opportunities. With Detroit at full strength on the wing and at forward, Holland is unlikely to see his playing time pick up dramatically in future contests.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Won't play Monday

Holland is out for Monday's game due to personal reasons. Holland has seen an increased role over the past two games due to the injury to Jalen Duren (knee), but he will be unavailable for Monday's contest due to personal reasons. With Duren expected to return to action Monday, Isaiah Stewart figures to be the main beneficiary of Holland's absence.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Limited again Tuesday

Holland accumulated seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), four rebounds, one block and one steal in 15 minutes during Tuesday's 124-121 win over the Nuggets. Holland recorded at least one steal for the 11th time in his past 12 games, although he offered very little else during his time on the floor. While he does provide the Pistons with a versatile defensive presence off the bench, there simply aren't enough minutes to go around right now, limiting his opportunities. Fantasy managers should treat him as a steals streamer outside deeper leagues.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Iffy for Monday

Holland (illness) is questionable for Monday's game versus Boston. Holland was a late addition to the injury report for Detroit. He's played a key role for the team, averaging 24.3 minutes over his last five contests. If he's unable to give it a go, the Pistons could lean more on Caris LeVert and Duncan Robinson.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Double-digit scoring continues

Holland logged 11 points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-9 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal over 21 minutes during Thursday's 108-105 victory over the Suns. Holland has reached double figures in points across his past three games, averaging 12.7 points on 43.8 percent shooting and 6.7 rebounds in 24.0 minutes. The sophomore's box score distribution can vary wildly from game to game, but he usually finds a way to contribute. He really thrives when he's facing a team prone to committing turnovers, allowing Holland to grab a steal and run out in transition with his excellent athleticism.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Returns wirh 11 points from bench

Holland closed Friday's 131-129 loss to the Jazz with 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and three assists in 19 minutes. Holland returned from a two-game absence and provided a decent rebounding total with the second unit. The second-year forward's contributions were critical in November as the Pistons worked through some injuries, but the team still considers the 20-year-old a development player due to his lack of collegiate experience. His limited usage leaves him outside the realm of fantasy relevance

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Questionable for Friday

Holland (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Jazz. A sprained left knee has kept Holland on the sidelines for the past two games. If he returns Friday, he could be on a minutes limit.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Not playing Tuesday

Holland (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Sacramento. Holland was downgraded from questionable to doubtful, and the second-year forward will now miss a second straight game while dealing with left knee soreness. Isaiah Stewart, Javonte Green and Caris LeVert should all see elevated roles off the bench in Holland's absence. Holland's next opportunity to play is Friday against the Jazz.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Downgraded to doubtful Tuesday

Holland (knee) has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Kings, Hunter Patterson of The Athletic reports. Holland is trending toward missing a second consecutive game due to left knee soreness. If he's ruled out for Tuesday's contest, Javonte Green and Isaiah Stewart would be in line for increased minutes off the bench against Sacramento.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Downgraded to doubtful

Holland (knee) is doubtful for Monday's game against Portland. Left knee soreness is likely to keep Holland out Monday. In his expected absence, Caris LeVert and Javonte Green should pick up a few extra minutes off the bench.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Pops for 17 points in win

Holland finished Monday's 99-98 win over the Hawks with 17 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and two steals in 17 minutes. Holland scored a season-high 17 points, helping the Pistons to an important victory. While this was an encouraging performance, there is no reason to view this as anything more than an outlier. In his previous 13 games, Holland has scored in double digits just once, while tallying no more than five points on six separate occasions.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Retreating to bench

Holland is not in the Pistons' starting lineup against the Hawks on Tuesday. Holland has started the Pistons' last five games, but he will come off the bench Tuesday due to the return of Cade Cunningham. During that five-game stretch as a starter, Holland averaged 7.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.0 steals over 28.0 minutes per game.

  • Pistons' Ronald Holland: Tacks three steals in win

Holland finished Wednesday's 124-113 victory over Chicago with nine points (4-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and three steals across 28 minutes. In a game without Cade Cunningham (hip), Jalen Duren (ankle), Ausar Thompson (ankle), Isaiah Stewart (ankle) and Tobias Harris (ankle), the Pistons were still able to get the win, and Holland played a big role in that happening. Holland has started in the last three games, averaging 7.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 threes in that span.
