Clingan contributed 17 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 21 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 34 minutes in Wednesday's 122-121 loss to the Bulls.
Clingan logged a season-high 34 minutes en route to a season-best 17 points. The second-year center also grabbed a game- and career-high 21 rebounds, securing his third double-double in 15 regular-season appearances. The big man recorded two blocks and has swatted multiple shots in four of his last five outings. While Clingan isn't guaranteed to score double-digit points on a nightly basis, he continues to provide value on the defensive end and on the glass.

Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Blocks five shots in loss
Clingan registered nine points (3-8 FG, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and five blocks in 23 minutes during Tuesday's 127-110 loss to the Suns.
Tuesday was not a great night offensively for everyone on the Blazers except Shaedon Sharpe and Deni Avdija, but Clingan made sure to make his presence felt on the defensive end. The second-year center has now recorded seven games with multiple blocks and is averaging 8.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals, 1.6 blocks and 0.6 threes through 24.9 minutes this season.

Clingan ended with nine points (4-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and eight rebounds in 24 minutes during Friday's 140-116 loss to the Rockets.
Clingan continues to offer nothing on the offensive end of the court, averaging just 6.5 points per game over his past eight contests. While the rebounding and block numbers have been serviceable, his lack of versatility makes him a tough player to hold in standard fantasy leagues.

Clingan has been a force in both rebounding and blocks this season, averaging 8.9 boards and 1.5 swats per game. He has left much to be desired on the offensive end, however, averaging 8.2 points on 47.4 percent from the field and a measly 19.4 percent from three.

This was Clingan's worst performance of the season, though he has been pretty solid overall. Through seven games, Clingan holds averages of 8.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 blocks in 24.5 minutes per contest. It's worth mentioning that Robert Williams looked really strong in his 16 minutes Monday, so that could put some pressure on Clingan.

Clingan recorded his first double-double of the campaign and posted season-high marks in points (16), rebounds (14) and blocks (2) in just 26 minutes. Yang Hansen hasn't been involved much for Portland, and Clingan's workload is looking very safe going forward. Through four games, he's on pace for a third-round fantasy finish in nine-category formats with averages of 11.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 three-pointers.

Clingan is not a big-time scorer, but he continues to impact all aspects of the stat sheet, and the playmaking (2.0 assists per game) and three-point shooting (1.3 triples per contest) have been a nice surprise for the second-year center. He's also yet to miss at the line, and he's rewarding those who drafted him late with top-40 production.

Clingan has recorded a block, a three-pointer and at least six rebounds in all three games to start the season, but his offensive production leaves much to be desired, as he has not taken over six field goal attempts. The second-year Uconn product is averaging 58.8 percent from the field, 44.4 percent from three and 100 percent from the free-throw line, so look for him to get more involved as the season progresses.

Clingan posted eight points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 118-114 loss to the Timberwolves.
Clingan may have been efficient during the regular-season opener, but it wasn't the ideal performance, as he was the only starter who failed to crack double digits in the scoring column. The UConn product still has a lot of potential to make some noise from a fantasy perspective if he can bump up these numbers moving forward.

Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Team option exercised
The Trail Blazers picked up Clingan's team option for the 2026-27 season on Tuesday, Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports.
This was Clingan's third-year team option. This transaction was never in any doubt for the franchise. Clingan is expected to be the starting center for the 2025-26 season, though he could be pushed by rookie Yang Hansen at some point soon.

Clingan chipped in 15 points (6-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-6 FT), 11 rebounds, two steals and one assist across 20 minutes in Tuesday's 118-111 preseason loss to the Warriors.
Clingan was one of six Portland players to score in double figures in an efficient outing. Additionally, the second-year big man led all players in rebounds. The 21-year-old was a regular in the starting five toward the end of last season and is expected to be a mainstay in the starting lineup during the 2025-26 campaign. He appeared in 67 regular-season games (37 starts) last season, during which he averaged 6.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks across 19.8 minutes per game.
