Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Valiant effort in Game 4 loss
Mitchell produced 31 points (9-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 8-10 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 32 minutes in Monday's 130-93 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Mitchell put together his best game of the series, which included a postseason-high five treys to lead the Cavs in scoring. However, it wasn't nearly enough to fend off the Knicks, who will advance to the NBA Finals following a four-game sweep. Mitchell averaged 27.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.5 steals in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Scores 23 points in loss
Mitchell closed Saturday's 121-108 loss to the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals with 23 points (9-21 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 2-6 FT), one rebound, four assists and three steals across 38 minutes.
Mitchell, who entered Game 3 converting 85.5 percent of his free-throw attempts, wound up missing four of his six shots at the line Saturday night in another deflating loss to the Knicks. The Cavs are now staring at a 0-3 hole in the Eastern Conference Finals, a deficit no team in NBA history has ever overcome.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Leads Cavs in scoring Thursday
Mitchell finished with 26 points (8-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 8-9 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block over 39 minutes in Thursday's 109-93 loss to New York in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Mitchell hasn't been the most efficient shooter during the first two games of the series, going 6-for-18 from behind the arc. He managed to take better care of the ball Thursday after committing four turnovers in Game 1. Still, the 29-year-old couldn't do enough to lift the Cavaliers to a win to tie the series up at one game each. There were rumblings that Mitchell might have sustained a leg injury in the 115-104 overtime loss to the Knicks to begin the Eastern Conference Finals. However, nothing has been confirmed. The clubs will meet for Game 3 on Saturday, and it will be interesting to see if Mitchell pops up on the injury report heading into that contest.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Paces Cleveland in loss
Mitchell finished Tuesday's 115-104 overtime loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals with 29 points (12-23 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six steals, five rebounds, three assists and one block across 41 minutes.
Mitchell turned in an extremely efficient performance and scored 26 points through the first three quarters. However, the star guard struggled late, scoring just three points while shooting 1-for-6 from the field between the fourth quarter and overtime. With Mitchell and James Harden both unable to deliver offensively down the stretch, the Knicks erased a 22-point deficit in the final 7:52 of the fourth before completing their stunning comeback in overtime. Despite the late-game struggles, Mitchell still led the Cavaliers in points and chipped in a game- and career-high six steals. He'll look to stay highly productive in Game 2 on Wednesday as the Cavaliers aim to steal a win at Madison Square Garden.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Scores 26 in Game 7
Mitchell posted 26 points (10-22 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), eight assists, six rebounds, one steal and a block in 31 minutes during Sunday's Game 7 win over the Pistons in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Mitchell posted game highs in scoring and assists Sunday, helping power Cleveland to a Game 7 victory and a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals. After the Cavaliers built a sizable 17-point halftime lead, Mitchell made sure Detroit never seriously threatened in the second half, erupting for 15 points in the third quarter to maintain momentum. His all-around offensive command stood out just as much as the scoring, as his game-high assist tally was achieved without a turnover.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Struggles in second half of Game 6
Mitchell posted 18 points (6-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Friday's 115-94 loss to the Pistons in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Mitchell paced the Cavaliers in the first half with 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting, but he connected on just two of his 11 field-goal attempts over the last two quarters of Friday's game for five points. It was his lowest-scoring output of the playoffs since his 15-point performance against the Raptors in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Cavaliers will need a better version of Mitchell for Game 7 on Sunday, with the winner of that game advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals to face the Knicks.
