Holmgren has been unstoppable in the last two games, totaling 49 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks across 48 minutes. He's made 21 of his 28 shot attempts during that span. While the Thunder's dominance may occasionally limit his minutes played, his efficiency has offset that. In 21 games this season, Holmgren is averaging 18.8 points and 8.0 rebounds on 67.1 percent true shooting.

Holmgren and teammate Jalen Williams posted nearly identical box scores as each finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. Oklahoma City separated from Dallas in the third quarter, which limited his output. It's been a while since Holmgren tallied a double-double. Holmgren finished just one rebound away from recording what would've been his first double-double since Nov. 11, when he had 23 points and 11 boards in a win over the Warriors. The big man should continue playing at center following the return of Jalen Williams and the absence of Isaiah Hartenstein (calf). Holmgren posted 23 points (8-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds and one assist across 32 minutes during Friday's 123-119 victory over the Suns.
The third-year big man bounced back from a brief scoring slump that had seen him top out at 12 points over the prior three games. Holmgren had delivered more than 20 points in five of the six games before that, however, and through 12 contests in November he's averaging 16.6 points, 7.2 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 threes while shooting 54.5 percent from the floor in 27.9 minutes.

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Scores 12 points with nine boards
Holmgren closed with 12 points (4-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 113-105 win over the Timberwolves.
While Holmgren struggled with his shot for most of the game, he came through when it mattered most, as he drilled a clutch triple with under a minute left to put the Thunder up for good. Head coach Mark Daigneault heaped praise on him after the match, calling Holmgren's late three-ball the "shot of the game," according to Nick Gallo of the Thunder's official site. With the win, the Thunder became just the fifth team in NBA history to open the season 18-1.

Holmgren had a rough offensive showing, and this five-point output was not only the first time he didn't score in double digits, but it was his worst scoring output of the campaign. Although Holmgren wasn't efficient from deep, he was effective inside the arc and finished second on the Thunder in scoring behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (33). Wednesday marked the third time this season that Holmgren recorded at least three blocks, and he has scored at least 20 points in five of his last six games. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stole the show with a 28-point, 11-assist performance, but Holmgren was excellent as well, posting a double-double without missing a single shot from the field. This was Holmgren's fourth double-double of the season and first since Oct. 27. Expect Holmgren to continue operating as the Thunder's second option behind Gilgeous-Alexander while Jalen Williams (wrist) is sidelined.

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Efficient performance in win
Holmgren racked up 21 points (8-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Sunday's 114-100 victory over the Grizzlies.
The big man continues to work his way back from a lower back injury, and this was his best performance -- from a statistical perspective -- since suffering the injury in late October. Also, this was just the third time Holmgren has scored over 20 points in a game this season. He's averaging 19.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 blocks per game in seven outings. However, his numbers should improve if he can stay healthy and play regularly as he did before sustaining the back problem Oct. 27.

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Off injury report for Friday
Holmgren (lower back) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Kings, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.
Holmgren was held out of the second half of a back-to-back Wednesday as a precaution after he previously returned from to a lower back strain. He'll be ready to roll for Friday's matchup and will aim to continue his strong start to the year, averaging 20.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.6 blocks through five appearances.
