Smith dropped in a season-high 25 points (8-16 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT) Wednesday, to go with five rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block over 38 turnover-less minutes in a 139-121 win over the Raptors.
Smith got off to a quick start in this one, dropping in 10 points in his first six minutes of play, and he did an excellent job helping spread the floor by knocking down the kick-out threes. He's been heating up over the past two, so it'll be interesting to see if he can keep it going Saturday with a tough matchup in Boston.

Rockets' Jabari Smith: Scores 11 points in blowout victory
Smith closed with 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and two steals across 24 minutes during Monday's 137-109 victory over the Nets.
Smith put up limited shot attempts but still finished as one of seven Rockets players to score in double figures. The 22-year-old forward also tied Josh Okogie for the game-high mark in steals. Through three regular-season outings, Smith is averaging 12.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 35.3 minutes per game.

Rockets' Jabari Smith: Starting against Thunder
Smith (rest) will start Tuesday's game against the Thunder, Vanessa Richardson of Space City Home Network reports.
Smith will be back with the starters after sitting out Thursday's preseason finale for maintenance. Smith will be starting at small forward, as the Rockets are utilizing a jumbo lineup of Amen Thompson, Kevin Durant, Alperen Sengun and Steven Adams.

Smith will join seven other Houston players on the inactive roster for Thursday's exhibition, which could lead to major minutes for Isaiah Crawford. Smith is simply receiving a rest day, so he's in no danger of missing Houston's Opening Night in Oklahoma City on October 21.

Smith was unstoppable in the scoring department, lighting up New Orleans for 26 points in 22 minutes. This is an excellent sign for the Auburn product, as he might be able to take his game to the next level during the 2025-26 campaign if given ample time on the floor.

Smith produced nine points (3-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one turnover across 23 minutes of Monday's 122-113 preseason win over Atlanta.
Rockets head coach Ime Udoka has already named Smith as a starter for the 2025-26 season, and he certainly looked the part Monday. With three minutes to play in the first quarter, Smith had one of the plays of the game when he drove past Luke Kennard and dunked it on Onyeka Okongwu. Fresh off a five-year, $122 million rookie contract extension, Smith looks poised for a potential career year.

Smith intends to sign a five-year, $122 million rookie contract extension, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Smith is set to remain in Houston on a long-term deal. The Rockets have had a busy start to the offseason, resigning numerous free agents, bringing in Kevin Durant and extending Steven Adams as well as Smith. Smith shifted to a reserve role down the stretch last season after starting every game over his first two years in the league, but he still averaged 12.2 points and 7.0 rebounds in 30.1 minutes per contest over 57 regular-season appearances. The addition of Kevin Durant raises questions about how Smith will be utilized, but the large commitment from the front office suggests the 22-year-old will remain a key piece.
