Top Jarrett Allen News

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Quiet in Game 5 loss

Allen totaled nine points (4-6 FG, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and one steal in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 114-105 loss to the Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Allen was the anchor for the Cavaliers all season long but had a limited impact in the team's last two games, contributing to their surprisingly early playoff exit. In nine games this postseason, the 27-year-old averaged 13.4 points and 8.4 rebounds on 72.1 percent shooting. Allen was the only player on the team to suit up for all 82 regular-season games, averaging 13.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks on 70.6 percent shooting. The big man signed an extension last summer and is under contract for the next three seasons.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Disappears in Game 4 loss

Allen ended with two points (0-1 FG, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block over 20 minutes during Sunday's 129-109 loss to the Pacers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Allen was non-existent Sunday, delivering what was easily his worst performance of the postseason. He wasn't alone in that respect, adding to what was an embarrassing loss for Cleveland. Prior to the loss, Allen had been one of the more consistent producers, a level of play he'll need to quickly rediscover with Cleveland now facing elimination at home in Tuesday's Game 5.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Solid showing in Game 3 victory

Allen produced 19 points (6-11 FG, 7-8 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 31 minutes during Friday's 126-104 victory over the Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Allen recorded a double-double for the fourth time over his last five playoff appearances, and the star big man continues to make a sizable impact on both ends of the court for Cleveland. With five double-doubles in seven playoff outings so far, Allen's two-way play will be huge for the Cavaliers in their quest to even the series Sunday.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Strong double-double in loss

Allen contributed 22 points (7-9 FG, 8-8 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and three blocks across 38 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 loss to the Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Allen recorded his fourth double-double of the playoffs while adding at least three blocks for just the third time all season. With Evan Mobley sidelined due to an ankle injury, Allen played as the lone big, affording him an opportunity to play closer to the basket. There is no word on whether Mobley will return for Game 3, although given the Cavaliers now trail 2-0, he will likely be given until the last minute to prove his fitness.
