Okogie remained in the starting lineup, tallying at least four steals for the second time this season. While he has been a key piece for the Rockets, especially on the defensive end, his playing time typically restricts him from being a suitable fantasy asset. Tari Eason was forced to leave the game due to a hip injury, potentially opening up a few extra minutes for Okogie. However, this is unlikely to change the fact that he can be treated as nothing more than a potential streaming candidate.

Okogie ended Wednesday's 124-109 victory over Memphis with 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 24 minutes.
Okogie has worked wonders for the Rockets since joining the starting lineup, averaging 9.4 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.0 threes made in five games (Houston is 5-0 in that stretch). In a lineup headlined by Kevin Durant, Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson, Okogie is not needed to score as much offensively but is capable of hitting open shots if necessary, shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from three in those five starts.

Rockets' Josh Okogie: Scores 10 points with two triples
Okogie provided 10 points (4-5 FG), one rebound, two assists, two triples and one turnover through 24 minutes as a starter during Wednesday's 139-121 win over the Raptors.
"[Okogie] knows his role," Rockets head coach Ime Udoka stated during a recent interview, explaining his decision to move Okogie into the first unit. "He's keeping it simple. He brings the physicality and aggressiveness on the defensive side of the ball. Knows how to play off other guys and then fits in with the areas we like: Crashing the glass, slashing, making plays, second opportunities." Since being inserted into the first unit, the Rockets have rattled off two straight wins, so for now, he looks to be locked in as a starter.

After being waived by Charlotte, it's not a surprise to see Okogie end up with a contender. Okogie was waived by the Hornets on Tuesday, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Okogie will now look to catch on with a new team after the Hornets chose to move on ahead of his $7.7 million contract becoming fully guaranteed for the 2025-26 season.
