Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Won't play vs. Toronto
Brown (rest) has been ruled out for Friday's preseason game against the Raptors, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
After dropping 21 points in 20 minutes during Wednesday's preseason game against the Grizzlies, Brown will get the day off Friday for rest purposes. It's uncertain what Brown's status will be for the final two preseason games.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Scores 21 points in win
Brown tallied 21 points (6-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-8 FT) and one rebound across 20 minutes during Wednesday's 121-103 preseason win over the Grizzlies.
Brown matched Jaylen Wells with a game-high point total during this blowout win on the road. Brown is still working his way back from offseason knee surgery, but this preseason performance is a good sign that he's back to form ahead of the start of the regular season Oct. 22 against the 76ers.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Starting Wednesday
Brown (knee) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's preseason opener versus the Grizzlies, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Brown underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee back in June, but he said at Media Day on September 30 that he was "feeling great" and ramping up his workload. It's safe to say he's fully recovered, considering he's suiting up for an exhibition game. He'll be an exciting player to roster this upcoming season, as the leading man in Boston.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Ramping up for camp
Brown (knee) said at Media Day on Monday that he's ramping up well ahead of training camp.
"I feel great," Brown said. "My athleticism is back. I'm running. I'm a little lighter. I feel awesome, I feel ready." Brown underwent a successful right knee arthroscopic debridement procedure back in June, and while he's likely not 100 percent yet, it seems likely he'll be a full go for Opening Night. The Celtics tend to be cautious, so Brown could have some restrictions early on in camp.
