Jazz's Kyle Anderson: Well-rounded line in return
Anderson (lower back) provided five points (2-5 FG, 1-2 FT), five assists, three rebounds and two steals in 20 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's 140-126 loss to the Lakers.
Anderson had missed the Jazz's previous four games while he managed a right lower back injury, but after getting cleared to play shortly before the opening tip, he ended up filling a prominent role off the bench. He and Kevin Love were the first Jazz reserves to check into the game, and Anderson nearly ended up matching starting wings Ace Bailey (23 minutes) and Svi Mykhailiuk (25 minutes) in playing time. Prior to getting hurt, Anderson hadn't been a consistent member of the Utah rotation, so despite his solid showing Tuesday, he may not be in line for a regular role once the Jazz draw closer to full strength. Though Taylor Hendricks (hamstring) suited up Tuesday, he didn't play and might have been available only in an emergency after missing the previous four games. Utah was also without Kyle Filipowski (wrist) for the first time all season.

Jazz's Kyle Anderson: Questionable for Monday
Anderson (back) is questionable for Monday's game against the Timberwolves.

Jazz's Kyle Anderson: Sees first minutes of season
Anderson totaled eight points (3-6 FG, 2-3 FT), three rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes during Friday's 118-96 loss to the Suns.
Despite being cleared to suit up ahead of the regular-season opener, Anderson didn't see any playing time during Utah's first four games of the season. Most of Anderson's playing time Friday came at the expense of Kyle Filipowski, who started but played only 10 minutes. It's unclear if Anderson will be a regular part of the rotation moving forward, but leading the bench in minutes is certainly a step in the right direction.

Jazz's Kyle Anderson: Joins Utah
The Heat traded Anderson and Kevin Love to the Jazz on Monday in a three-team deal that sent John Collins (ankle) to the Clippers and Norman Powell to the Heat, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Anderson has two years left on his contract valued at a total of $18.8 million. The Jazz acquired a 2027 second-round pick via Los Angeles to absorb his contract, however. If the Jazz intend to keep him around, Anderson could be a valuable veteran mentor for Utah's young roster. Anderson made just 61 regular-season appearances in 2024-25, posting averages of 5.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 16.4 minutes.
