Bucks' Bobby Portis: Expected to sign with Milwaukee
Portis intends to sign a three-year, $44 million deal with the Bucks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports Sunday.
Portis will remain with Milwaukee on a longer-term deal after declining his player option for 2025-26. The veteran big man has become a fan favorite in Milwaukee and averaged 13.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 49 regular-season outings (seven starts) in 2024-25. Portis' new contract includes a player option for the 2027-28 campaign.

Bucks' Bobby Portis: Double-doubles in Game 5 loss
Portis totaled 14 points (6-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal over 44 minutes during Tuesday's 119-118 overtime loss to Indiana in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Portis received the starting nod in Tuesday's win-or-go-home game, recording his second double-double of the first round. However, the big man was inefficient from the field, and the Bucks were eliminated in a tight loss. Portis has a player option for the 2025-26 campaign, and he finished the 2024-25 season with averages of 13.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.7 steals across 25.4 minutes per game in 49 regular-season appearances (seven starts).

Bucks' Bobby Portis: Jumping into first unit Tuesday
Portis is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Pacers.
Facing a possible elimination from the playoffs, the Bucks are shaking up their starting lineup Tuesday. Portis will supplant Brook Lopez from the first unit, with the former making his first start since Feb. 7. Portis should get a boost in playing time in Game 5, having averaged 22.1 points, 12.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks in 34.5 minutes over seven regular-season appearances as a starter.

Bucks' Bobby Portis: Dominates off bench in Game 2 loss
Portis ended with 28 points (11-19 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block over 32 minutes during Tuesday's 123-115 loss to the Pacers in Game 2 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Portis shined off the Bucks bench in Tuesday's Game 2, providing Milwaukee with a much-needed boost while leading all players in threes made and finishing second among Bucks players in scoring and rebounds in a double-double. Portis had a breakout performance Tuesday, a game after recording just four points and eight boards in Game 1. Milwaukee will need Portis to continue the Game 2 level of play if it wants to climb back into this series against Indiana.

Bucks' Bobby Portis: Officially good to go Saturday
Portis (rest) isn't on the injury report for Saturday's Game 1 against the Pacers.
Portis sat out Milwaukee's regular-season finale but is set to play in the team's playoff opener Saturday. Portis should continue to operate as one of the Bucks' primary bench options in the frontcourt.

Bucks' Bobby Portis: Should be available for Saturday
Portis (rest), who missed Sunday's regular-season finale against the Pistons, is expected to be available for Game 1 against the Pacers on Saturday.
No surprise here, as the Bucks rested several key rotation players in that contest. Portis appeared in just 49 games this season after a 25-game suspension, posting averages of 13.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 three-pointers.

Bucks' Bobby Portis: Sitting out regular-season finale
Portis won't play in Sunday's game versus the Pistons due to rest purposes.
Portis will sit out Milwaukee's regular-season finale because the team is already locked into the Eastern Conference's second seed. However, Portis should be able to return for the Bucks' playoff opener.

Bucks' Bobby Portis: Double-doubles off bench
Portis totaled 17 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 33 minutes during Friday's 125-119 victory over Detroit.
Portis has logged three appearances since returning from a 25-game suspension due to a violation of the league's anti-drug policy, and he's scored in double digits in each of the three contests. The veteran should play a sizable role off the bench for the Bucks in the postseason, and his three appearances since his return to the hardwood show his role hasn't changed despite missing 25 games between mid-February and early April. Portis is averaging 16.3 points and 9.3 boards per game in those three contests.
