Knicks' Alex Len: Logs six minutes in win
Len tallied five points (1-1 FG, 3-4 FT) and two rebounds across six minutes during Thursday's 99-84 preseason win over the 76ers.
Len made an impression during his first preseason game with his new squad. He scored five points in six minutes off the bench, hitting his only field-goal attempt and doing the rest of the work at the free-throw line. The veteran big man is trying to earn a roster spot after a disappointing short stint with the Lakers at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Knicks' Alex Len: Joins New York for camp
Len signed a training camp deal with the Knicks on Tuesday, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports.
The Knicks are going to have some serious competition for roster spots at training camp, having recently signed Malcolm Brogdon, Landry Shamet and Garrison Mathews. Plus, the team will be working out Dennis Smith this week. Len split his time between the Kings and Lakers last regular season, posting combined averages of 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game.

Lakers' Alex Len: Logs career-low 1.6 PPG in 2024-25
Len finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 1.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.5 blocks across 8.3 minutes per game over 46 regular-season appearances (seven starts) between the Lakers and the Kings.
Len played only four minutes in two appearances during the Lakers' 4-1 first-round series loss to Minnesota, racking up four rebounds. The 31-year-old big man began the season with Sacramento but was traded to the Wizards and subsequently waived in February. However, he signed a one-year pact with the Lakers in the same month, and he averaged 2.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists across 12.2 minutes per game in 10 appearances (four starts). Len is set to become an unrestricted free agent ahead of the 2025-26 season and could be an option for teams seeking frontcourt depth.

Lakers' Alex Len: Back to bench for playoff opener
Len is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 against the Timberwolves on Saturday, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The Lakers rested most of their regulars for the regular-season finale against the Trail Blazers on April 13, so Len got the start at center, but that won't be the case for this postseason opener. Jaxson Hayes will start at center, meaning Len will be limited to a secondary role off the bench.

Len stepped into the rotation after recording a DNP via coach's decision in each of the club's last three outings. The big man nearly recorded a double-double and was efficient in the blowout loss. However, Len is unlikely to stick around in the rotation whenever Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) and Jarred Vanderbilt (groin) return.

With Jaxson Hayes (knee) sidelined, Len drew three straight starts but failed to make an impact, totaling four points, 10 rebounds and four assists in 44 minutes.
