Wizards' Khris Middleton: Muted performance in loss
Middleton had six points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and two assists across 20 minutes during Thursday's 127-108 loss to the Thunder.
With the return of Bilal Coulibaly, the Wizards opted to run a bigger lineup Thursday. Although Middleton started this game, his long-term outlook remains pretty bleak as the Wizards continue to keep their focus on guys like Coulibaly and Kyshawn George. Plus, Cam Whitmore is likely to become more involved down the road.

Wizards' Khris Middleton: Looks sharp despite loss
Middleton logged 23 points (9-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds and three assists across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 133-120 loss to the Bucks.
Middleton's heroic return to Milwaukee was a successful one on an individual level as he put up 23 points and finished second on the team in shot attempts. While he's obviously a valued veteran presence on the team, it's fair to wonder just how long the Wizards will rely on him in what is supposed to be a rebuilding season. He's likely to see his name in the rumor mill quite a bit this season.

Wizards' Khris Middleton: Healthy for camp
Wizards general manager Will Dawkins said Wednesday that Middleton (knee) will be ready for training camp, Chase Hughes of Monumental Sports Network reports.
Middleton missed the end of the 2024-25 campaign with a right knee contusion, but it didn't linger far into the offseason. Middleton will be playing on an expiring $33.3 million contract this season, and it will be interesting to see how much he's utilized, with the Wizards in the early stages of a rebuild.

Wizards' Khris Middleton: Picks up player option
Middleton (knee) picked up his $33.3 million player option for the 2025-26 season Monday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
No surprise here, as Middleton was unlikely to fetch anything close to this amount on the open market. This news is also likely to be bad for Middleton's fantasy value, given the youth movement in Washington. In 14 appearances with the team, Middleton posted averages of 10.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 22.1 minutes per game. Middleton missed the end of the campaign with a right knee contusion, but it's not expected to linger very far into the offseason.
