Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Won't play Thursday
Conley (rest) will not suit up for Thursday's preseason game against the Knicks.
Chris Finch is giving the veteran, Conley, a night off for an exhibition game, which will result in Donte DiVincenzo drawing a spot start. Conley's next chance to play will come next Thursday in Chicago.

Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Quiet in preseason debut
Conley totaled two points (2-2 FT), one rebound and one assist in 14 minutes during Tuesday's preseason loss to the Pacers.
After sitting out the first game of the preseason, Conley moved straight into the starting lineup Tuesday. While there had been some conjecture as to who would get the starting nod, it appears that Conley may be just ahead of Donte DiVincenzo in that discussion. With that said, Conley's days of being a productive basketball player appear to be well behind him. Even if he is given the starting nod come Opening Night, the expectation is that he may play no more than about 25 minutes per game.

Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Cleared for action vs. Indiana
Conley (rest) is set to play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Pacers, Dane Moore of 'The Dane Moore NBA Podcast' reports.
After taking a seat in Saturday's preseason opener against the Nuggets, Conley is slated to be available Tuesday. The veteran guard figures to see playing time in the first half before likely giving way to the likes of Rob Dillingham and Tristen Newton in the second half.

Conley (rest) won't play in Saturday's preseason contest against the Nuggets.
Conley is one of three regular starters who will rest in this preseason tune-up, as will also be the case with Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards. Rob Dillingham will get the nod at point guard, while Conley's next chance to play will come against the Pacers in another preseason game next Tuesday.

Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Rough end to season
Conley accumulated zero points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one assist, one block and two steals over 21 minutes during Wednesday's 124-94 loss to the Thunder in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.
Conley saved arguably his worst for last, failing to score as Minnesota was unceremoniously bundled out of the playoffs. The veteran scored double digits only twice during the postseason, a poor end to what was a largely underwhelming season. Through 71 regular season appearances, Conley averaged just 8.2 points, 4.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.8 three-pointers in 24.7 minutes per game.

Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Has no impact in Game 2 loss
Conley posted three points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists over 28 minutes during Thursday's 118-103 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
Conley looked out of his depth Thursday, failing to have any tangible impact. He has now scored single digits in all but two playoff appearances, a worrying trend for a team that needs production in a hurry. In 11 games over the past month, Conley has put up modest averages of 6.3 points and 3.7 assists in 24.7 minutes per game. At this point, his lack of upside could be a limiting factor against what is a well-rounded Thunder team.
