  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Sits out season opener

Lowry didn't play in Wednesday's 117-116 win over Boston. The absence of Jared McCain (thumb) wasn't enough to get Lowry in the Opening Night rotation. The bulk of Philadelphia's backcourt reps should go to Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe and Quentin Grimes moving forward.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Goes through practice

Lowry (rest) was back at practice Monday, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. After sitting out the preseason finale against Minnesota on Friday, Lowry was back on the floor with no restrictions Monday. He's expected to be the backup point guard when the 76ers open their season against Boston on Wednesday.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Another rest day on tap

Lowry (rest) is out for Friday's preseason finale against Minnesota, Austin Krell of OnPattison.com reports. The veteran guard will get a fourth consecutive night off Friday. Lowry does not appear to be dealing with an injury, so he should be available off the bench in Wednesday's season opener against the Celtics.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Out again Friday

Lowry (rest) will not play in Friday's preseason game against Orlando, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Lowry will sit out a third straight game during the preseason. The veteran's next chance to play comes Oct. 17 against the Timberwolves.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Won't play Saturday

Lowry (rest) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Knicks, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports. Lowry will sit out a second straight game during the preseason. His absence doesn't appear to be injury-related, but rather for rest purposes. The next opportunity for him to get back on the floor will be Oct. 10 against the Magic.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Sits out Thursday

Lowry (coach's decision) did not play in Thursday's preseason game versus the Knicks. Veterans are often used sparingly in the preseason, and there's no injury to report here. Lowry agreed to a one-year, $3.63 million deal over the summer in what's expected to be the final year of his career. Heading into Opening Night, Lowry is presumably the favorite to win the backup role behind Tyrese Maxey.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Agrees to sign with 76ers

Lowry has agreed to sign a one-year, $3.63 million contract with the 76ers, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Lowry is set to return to Philadelphia to participate in his third season with the 76ers. The veteran floor general was limited to 35 games last year, having averaged a career-low 3.9 points, 2.7 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 18.8 minutes per contest. With Jared McCain (knee) still recovering from a torn meniscus, it's possible Lowry will open the new campaign as Tyrese Maxey's (finger) top backup at point guard.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Will miss final game of season

Lowry (hip) is out for Sunday's game against the Bulls. Lowry will end the regular season on the sidelines, though that's not surprising, as the veteran floor general was limited to just 35 appearances and 12 starts in 2024-25 due to several injuries. Lowry averaged a mere 3.9 points, 2.7 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game in those games while logging 18.8 minutes per contest -- his lowest mark since his rookie year.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Still out for Friday

Lowry (hip) won't play in Friday's game versus the Hawks. Lowry will miss his second straight contest Friday due to right hip injury management. In his absence, Jared Butler and Jeff Dowtin should continue to receive increased playing time. Lowry's final chance to suit up this season is Sunday's matchup with Chicago.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Not playing Wednesday

Lowry is out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards due to right hip injury management. Lowry played Monday against the Heat on April 7, logging 20 minutes and scoring five points, one rebound and one assist. The veteran floor general has been limited to just two outings since the beginning of March. His next chance to play will come against the Hawks on Friday.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Questionable for Monday

Lowry (hip) has been listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Heat, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Lowry is in danger of missing a third straight game for the 76ers while nursing a hip injury. If he cannot play in Miami, the next chance for the veteran guard to return to the floor will be Wednesday against the Wizards.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Out Saturday

Lowry (hip) is out for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves. The veteran floor general logged 16 minutes off the bench in a 105-91 loss to the Knicks on April 1, but that has been his lone appearance since the All-Star break, and just his fifth since the beginning of February. Even if deemed healthy, don't expect Lowry to make an impact in most fantasy formats in the final days of the regular season. His next chance to play will come Monday against the Heat.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Held scoreless in return

Lowry (hip) supplied zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two assists, two steals, one rebound and one block across 16 minutes in Tuesday's 105-91 loss to the Knicks. Lowry came off the bench and had his minutes managed after missing 23 straight games due to a hip issue. Though Lowry looks to be healthy again, the 76ers are still likely to hold him out for rest purposes for at least some of their remaining six contests.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Upgraded to questionable

Lowry (hip) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks. Lowry hasn't played since Feb. 9 due to a right hip injury, but he's now considered day-to-day. If the veteran does get the green light to return, he's likely to have heavy restrictions after such a long absence.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Still without return date

Lowry (hip) remains without an official timetable to return, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports. Lowry was a partial participant at Friday's practice, but he's missed the past 20 games for the 76ers, and the team is not in a hurry to rush the veteran back. For now, it's safe to rule him out of the back-to-back set that begins March 29.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Could return soon

76ers head coach Nick Nurse gave an update on Lowry's status Wednesday, saying the veteran guard could return soon, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports. Lowry has missed 20 straight games for Philadelphia while nursing a hip injury, but he could be back on the floor sooner rather than later. The veteran guard will miss Wednesday's game against the Wizards, and his next opportunity to return will be Saturday against the Heat.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Ruled out for Wednesday

Lowry (hip) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards. Lowry will miss his 21st consecutive game for the 76ers while dealing with a hip issue. The veteran guard's next opportunity to return to the floor will be Saturday against the Heat.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Out again Monday

Lowry (hip) will not play Monday against the Pelicans. Lowry hasn't played since the All-Star break due to the right hip injury. On March 9, head coach Nick Nurse told Austin Krell of OnPattison.com that Lowry was feeling better and was close to playing again, but updates on the veteran guard's status have been scarce ever since. It's unclear if Lowry suffered a setback, or if the 76ers are deliberately holding him out while they play out the string on a non-contending season.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Remaining sidelined

Lowry (hip) won't play in Sunday's game versus the Hawks. Lowry hasn't played since Feb. 9 due to a right hip injury. The veteran guard should be considered doubtful for Monday's matchup with New Orleans.

  • 76ers' Kyle Lowry: Won't play vs. San Antonio

Lowry (hip) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Spurs. Lowry continues to deal with a right hip issue, which will keep him sidelined for an 18th straight game for Philadelphia. The veteran guard's next opportunity to return to the floor will be Sunday against the Hawks.
