  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Resting up Sunday

Collins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants. Collins will get a breather in the series finale after starting in each of the last six games while going just 2-for-21 with a 4:6 BB:K. Christian Yelich typically serves as Milwaukee's designated hitter, but he'll cover left field Sunday in place of a resting Collins.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Not in Game 1 lineup

Collins is out of the lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader versus the Cubs. Milwaukee has reinstated Collins from the paternity list after he was away from the team for the past weekend, but the National League Rookie of the Year candidate won't immediately re-enter the starting nine. Milwaukee will go with a starting outfield trio of Christian Yelich, Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick from left to right in Game 1, but expect Collins to be included in the lineup for the nightcap.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: On paternity list

The Brewers placed Collins on the paternity list Friday. Collins will step away from the team for personal reasons. The move was one of many made by Milwaukee on Friday, including Steward Berroa and Tyler Black being called up from Triple-A Nashville. Berroa and Christian Yelich are the likeliest candidates to see action in left field while Collins is away.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Pops walk-off homer Sunday

Collins went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's victory over the Mets. The Milwaukee outfielder drew a start as the second batter in the lineup for the third straight contest and made the most of it, slugging his first walk-off homer in the big leagues. Collins launched a 363-foot solo shot off New York reliever Edwin Diaz to give the Brewers their ninth straight win. The 28-year-old Collins has entered the NL Rookie of the Year Award conversation thanks to a strong .295/.395/.448 slash line with eight homers, 13 steals, 45 runs scored and 40 RBI in 316 total plate appearances across 96 games.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Hot streak continues with homer

Collins went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and a walk in Monday's 3-1 win over Atlanta. With his seventh round tripper of the year, Collins has now logged at least one hit in 13 of his last 15 outings. The switch-hitting outfielder is certainly worth a look in deeper mixed fantasy leagues while he's running hot -- Collins is slashing .315/.421/.490 with six homers, 28 RBI, 28 runs scored and five stolen bases over his last 47 games since the start of June.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: On bench for series finale

Collins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals. Christian Yelich typically serves as the Brewers' designated hitter, but he'll replace Collins in left field Sunday while William Contreras gets a day off from catching as the DH. Collins had started each of the Brewers' last five contests, going 4-for-16 with two steals, two runs and an RBI.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Resting after four-hit game

Collins is out of the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Mets. Collins will get a chance to catch his breath during the nightcap after going 4-for-4 with a home run, a walk and an additional run scored in the Brewers' 7-2 win in Game 1. Christian Yelich will start in left field in place of Collins, putting William Contreras in the designated-hitter spot while Eric Haase gets the nod behind the plate.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Swats two-run shot Tuesday

Collins went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Cubs. Collins registered his third multi-hit game in his last seven outings, continuing an impressive run at the plate recently. Across his last 31 plate appearances (nine games), the switch-hitting outfielder is slashing .320/.452/.680 with four extra-base hits, six RBI and six walks. As long as both Blake Perkins (shin) and Garrett Mitchell (oblique) are on the injured list, Collins should be able to play a regular role in Milwaukee's outfield.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Taking seat Sunday

Collins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres. The switch-hitting Collins had started each of the Brewers' last three games against right-handed pitching, but he'll give way to Jake Bauers in left field while San Diego sends righty Ryan Bergert to the hill. Collins has gotten off to a nice start to June, going 3-for-7 with a home run, six walks and four RBI in five games.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Gaining traction in lineup

Collins will start in left field and bat second Sunday against the Cubs. The switch-hitting Collins has now batted second in the Brewers' last two matchups against left-handed pitchers, but the 27-year-old has been gaining a foothold in Milwaukee's lineup against righties too, and he seems to be the main beneficiary of an IL stint for Garrett Mitchell (oblique). Collins has held his own over 48 plate appearances, slashing .256/.333/.419 with a home run and two stolen bases.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: In Friday's lineup

Collins (elbow) will start in left field and bat seventh against the Cubs on Friday. Collins made an early exit from Wednesday's contest after getting hit on the elbow by a pitch. After a day off Thursday, he's feeling well enough to return to the starting nine against Ben Brown and the Cubs. The 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .263/.333/.447 across 42 plate appearances this season and has recorded a base hit in each of his last five games.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Exits after HBP

Collins was removed from Wednesday's game against the White Sox after getting hit on the elbow by a pitch, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Collins took a 95-mph fastball off his right elbow during the second inning of Wednesday's contest. He initially remained in the game but was eventually replaced on defense by Vinny Capra during the third frame. The Brewers have already determined that Collins only suffered a bruise as a result of the incident, so while he may sit out a game or two to heal, a trip to the IL shouldn't be necessary.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Swats first homer

Collins went 1-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk, two runs scored and an additional RBI in Tuesday's win over the White Sox. Collins put the Brewers ahead quickly with a solo home run in the first inning. It was his first long ball and first RBI as a major leaguer, and he's now tallied a hit in four straight games. The 27-year-old is hitting .243/.300/.405 with six runs scored and a 3:8 BB:K in 40 plate appearances.

  • Brewers' Isaac Collins: Batting third in first start

Collins is starting at designated hitter and batting third in Wednesday's game versus the Royals. It's the first start this season for Collins, who is 3-for-6 off the bench. He and his teammates face a tall task in going up against left-hander Cole Ragans in the series finale.
