Reds' Victor Acosta: Dealt to Reds for Drury
Acosta was traded from the Padres to the Reds on Tuesday in exchange for Brandon Drury, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Acosta was one of the top international signees in the 2020-21 signing class. The switch-hitting shortstop has a high ceiling, but he is still working on putting the pieces together. He is hitting .243/.346/.360 with two home runs and five steals in 32 games in the Arizona Complex League.

Padres' Victor Acosta: Lands with Padres for $1.8 million
Acosta signed with the Padres for $1.8 million Friday, Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reports.
A shortstop from the Dominican Republic, Acosta turned 16 in June, making him one of the youngest players in this class. He is also one of the best defensive prospects in the class. A plus runner with quick-twitch athleticism, Acosta is slowly growing into power and could be a big riser up prospect rankings as he matures.
