  • Reds' Levi Jordan: Returns to Cincinnati on MiLB pact

The Reds re-signed Jordan to a minor-league contract Jan. 9. Jordan reached the majors for the first time in 2024 with the Reds, going 1-for-10 at the plate during a brief stint. The 29-year-old will provide some utility depth at Triple-A Louisville.

  • Reds' Levi Jordan: Booted from 40-man roster

The Reds designated Jordan for assignment Friday. Jordan will be the odd man out in the Reds' flurry of roster moves Friday, giving up his spot on the 40-man roster to clear the way for Austin Wynns and Edwin Rios to join the MLB roster. Although Jordan owns a .842 OPS at Triple-A Louisville, he went just 1-for-10 in seven games with the Reds.

  • Reds' Levi Jordan: Late addition to lineup

Jordan started in left field and went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Pirates. Jordan was a late addition to the lineup after Jake Fraley was scratched due to a calf issue. It was Jordan's second start in three games since his contract was selected from Triple-A Louisville earlier this week. The Reds are now dealing with two injuries in the outfield, including TJ Friedl (hamstring), who landed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

  • Reds' Levi Jordan: Makes MLB debut

Jordan started in right field went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Monday's 11-5 win over the Pirates. Jordan made his MLB debut after having his contract selected from Triple-A Louisville earlier in the day. He took the open roster spot created when the Reds placed TJ Friedl (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list. The 28-year-old Jordan played multiple positions in the minors, but Monday's start in right field was his first ever at that position. It's likely he sees most of his at-bats against left-handers.

  • Reds' Levi Jordan: Receives call to majors

The Reds selected Jordan's contract from Triple-A Louisville on Monday. A minor-league Rule 5 pickup over the offseason, Jordan will get his first call to the big leagues at 28 years old. Jordan slashed .302/.384/.443 with five home runs and six stolen bases this season with Louisville while seeing time at left field, center field, second base and third base. He'll make his MLB debut at a new position Monday against the Pirates, starting in right field and batting eighth. The righty-hitting Jordan will likely see most of his starts against left-handed pitching while he's up with the Reds.
