  • Giants' Logan Webb: Logs another quality start

Webb (12-9) earned the win against the Brewers on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out five across six innings.

Webb was able to log five punchouts despite generating just seven whiffs on 94 pitches (58 strikes). He allowed at least one base runner in five of the six innings he tossed, but he managed to limit the damage to a Caleb Durbin RBI double in the second frame. Webb is now up to 18 quality starts on the season, which is tied with Cristopher Sanchez for second most in the majors behind Bryan Woo (19). Webb also ranks fourth in the majors with 180 strikeouts, and his 3.13 ERA (over 166.2 innings) is 17th among qualified starters. He'll look for his 13th win of the season in his next start, tentatively slated for next week at home against the Cubs.

  • Giants' Logan Webb: Cruises to 11th win

Webb (11-9) earned the win Sunday against the Rays, throwing seven scoreless innings while allowing three hits and no walks. He struck out seven.

The San Francisco ace was dominant in this 86-pitch performance, as he notched his 17th quality start of the season. This marks the fifth consecutive season Webb has reached the 11-win plateau in his seven-season career. Across 160.2 total innings, the 28-year-old has pitched to a 3.19 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 175:35 K:BB. Webb is currently scheduled to make his next appearance in the Giants' upcoming weekend road series against the league-leading Brewers.

  • Giants' Logan Webb: Falls to San Diego

Webb (10-8) took the loss Monday against the Padres, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 6.1 innings.

Webb and Yu Darvish engaged in a scoreless pitchers' duel for five innings until the Padres got to Webb for a run in the sixth. The score was tied 1-1 entering the seventh, but Webb ran into quick trouble in the frame, giving up three runs before retiring his first batter. The right-hander had notched back-to-back starts with double-digit strikeouts entering Monday but managed just three punchouts and five whiffs against San Diego. Webb's next start is projected to be against Tampa Bay this weekend.

  • Giants' Logan Webb: Fans 10 in win

Webb (10-8) allowed a run on seven hits over six innings Tuesday, striking out 10 and earning a win over Pittsburgh.

Webb's final line was impressive, but he needed 110 pitches (74 strikes) to record 18 outs. He gave up a run in the third inning but otherwise kept the Pirates' offense quiet. Webb has faced Pittsburgh in two consecutive outings, combining for 21 punchouts and two earned runs across 11.2 innings. Prior to that, he had allowed 16 total runs in his previous three starts. Webb is now sporting a 3.24 ERA with a 165:34 K:BB across 147.1 frames this season. He's currently in line for a home matchup against the Padres next week.

  • Giants' Logan Webb: Strikes out 11 in no-decision

Webb did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Pirates, allowing one run on five hits and four walks with 11 strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Webb recorded his first double-digit strikeout game since June 7 but also tied a season high with four walks, departing an out shy of a quality start at 109 pitches. It was still an encouraging rebound for the All-Star, who had surrendered 16 earned runs over 15.1 innings in his previous three starts. He'll carry a 3.31 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 155:34 K:BB across 141.1 innings into a road rematch with the Pirates early next week.

  • Giants' Logan Webb: Struggles again versus Mets

Webb (9-8) allowed six runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out four over four innings to take the loss versus the Mets on Friday.

This matched Webb's shortest start of the year, and it's the second time in three outings he's allowed six earned runs. Over that span, he's given up 16 runs in 15.1 innings, an unusual stretch of poor performances for the ace right-hander. Webb is now at a 3.38 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 144:30 K:BB through 135.2 innings across 22 starts. He had been pitching at a career-best level through the end of June, so this could simply be a bit of regression, especially against a tough sequence of opponents (Dodgers, Blue Jays and Mets). Webb will look to right the ship in his next start, which is projected to be a favorable home matchup versus the Pirates next week.

  • Giants' Logan Webb: Peppered in loss

Webb (9-7) took the loss Saturday, giving up four runs on 11 hits and a walk over six innings as the Giants were downed 6-3 by the Blue Jays. He struck out one.

The right-hander wasn't hit especially hard, but the damage added up from three doubles and eight singles. It's only Webb's second loss in nine starts since the beginning of June, a stretch in which he's delivered a 3.39 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 56:12 K:BB over 58.1 innings. He'll look for a better result in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Mets.

  • Giants' Logan Webb: Grinds out tough win

Webb (9-6) allowed six runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six over 5.1 innings to earn the win over the Dodgers on Friday.

Webb was having a fine start until the Dodgers four-run rally in the sixth inning, which all ended up on his line. He still got the win, as the Giants had established an 8-2 lead in the fifth inning and managed to stay ahead. This performance ended a stretch of eight straight quality starts for Webb, who had a 2.55 ERA and 59:11 K:BB across 53 innings in that span. For the season, the Giants' ace is at a 2.94 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 139:28 K:BB through 125.2 innings over 20 starts. He'll be at the All-Star festivities in Atlanta next week before presumably getting the ball at some point in the three-game weekend series in Toronto following the Midsummer Classic.
