  • Diamondbacks' Hunter Cranton: Dealt to Snakes

The Diamondbacks acquired Cranton, first baseman Tyler Locklear and right-hander Juan Burgos from the Mariners on Wednesday in exchange for third baseman Eugenio Suarez, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Cranton got off to a late start this season after missing three months due to a concussion he suffered during spring training. He returned to action in early July and has done well since then, logging a 1.13 ERA and 11:3 K:BB through eight innings at High-A Everett. Now that he's in Arizona's farm system, the 24-year-old will set his sights on reaching Double-A Amarillo by the end of the season.

  • Mariners' Hunter Cranton: Settles in at High-A

Double-A Arkansas reinstated Cranton (concussion) from its 7-day injured list June 30 and assigned him to High-A Everett.

After being struck in the head by a line drive in a Cactus League game in early March and suffering a concussion, Cranton was held out of action for more than three months before he began a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on June 24. He made a pair of appearances in the ACL before moving on to Everett, where he'll continue to work out of the bullpen before likely moving up to the Double-A level at some point in the second half. Through his first two appearances with Everett, Cranton has struck out two batters and has allowed one earned run on two hits and no walks over two innings.

  • Mariners' Hunter Cranton: Recovering from concussion

Double-A Arkansas placed Cranton on the 7-day injured list with a concussion, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports.

He was struck by a comebacker in a Cactus League game March 7 and is building back up while working through concussion symptoms. Cranton, a 24-year-old reliever who Seattle saved money on in the third round last year, logged a 3.24 ERA with three saves and 14 strikeouts in 8.1 innings at Single-A after signing.

  • Mariners' Hunter Cranton: Struck by comebacker

Cranton was removed from Friday's Cactus League game against the Dodgers after being hit in the chin by a line drive, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Cranton seemed to be in a relatively good mood following the incident, which may indicate minimal damage was done. The 24-year-old made nine appearances at Single-A Modesto last season, and he'll likely aim to reach High-A Everett or Double-A Arkansas by the end of 2025.
