Reds' Luke Holman: Slated to pitch in Arizona
The Reds announced Tuesday that Holman (elbow) has been assigned to the Arizona Fall League, which begins Oct. 3.
Since being drafted by the Reds in 2024, Holman has logged just 15.2 total innings in the professional ranks. He underwent elbow surgery early in the 2025 season and didn't resume pitching until late June of the current season. Holman made four rehab appearances in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League but may have hit a snag in his recovery along the way, as he didn't pitch after July 21. His inclusion on the Peoria Javelinas' roster in the Fall League implies that he's healthy again and ready to stack up some innings.

Reds' Luke Holman: Lands on 60-day IL
Single-A Daytona placed Holman (elbow) on the 60-day injured list March 17, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports.
Holman had Tommy John surgery early in the 2025 season and will miss at least the first two months of 2026. The 6-foot-4 righty has thrown nine pro innings since getting drafted with the 71st overall pick in 2024.

Reds' Luke Holman: Done for season
Single-A Daytona transferred Holman (undisclosed) from the 7-day injured list to the full-season injured list May 20.
Holman was placed on the 7-day IL coming out of spring training, but the Reds provided no indication at the time that he was in danger of missing the rest of the season. Evidently, the 22-year-old righty didn't heal as quickly as anticipated and will now wind up missing the entire 2025 season. Holman has pitched just nine innings in the professional ranks since being drafted in 2024.

Single-A Daytona placed Holman on its 7-day injured list April 17 due to an unspecified injury.
Before being shut down, the 22-year-old righty breezed through his first two starts of the season, striking out 10 over nine innings while allowing one earned run on two hits and four walks.
