Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Recalled from Triple-A
The Twins recalled Keirsey from Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday.
Keirsey has slashed a lowly .108/.140/.181 across 86 plate appearances with the big club this season. He'll provide outfield depth in the final days of the season.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Sent back to minors
The Twins optioned Keirsey to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.
Keirsey was recalled this past weekend and saw only one plate appearance. He's clearing out to make room on the active roster for the return of Christian Vazquez (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Summoned from St. Paul
The Twins recalled Keirsey from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday.
Keirsey will fill Matt Wallner's (oblique) spot on the active roster for the closing days of the regular season as Wallner heads to the injured list. In 85 big-league plate appearances this season, Keirsey is slashing .110/.141/.183, but he's posted a .771 OPS in 161 plate appearances at Triple-A. He'll have a chance to play occasionally in right field.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Relegated to St. Paul
The Twins optioned Keirsey to Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Phil Miller of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
Keirsey never registered a plate appearance during his four-day stint in the big leagues, though he did manage to steal a base and score a run as a pinch runner. Sporting a .324 OPS through 70 games in the majors this year, he'll return to Triple-A in favor of Jhonny Pereda, who was recalled from St. Paul in a corresponding move.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Recalled from St. Paul
The Twins recalled Keirsey from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.
Keirsey will operate as a reserve at all three outfield spots down the stretch for the Twins. The 28-year-old has put up just a .324 OPS and 37.6 percent strikeout rate across 85 big-league plate appearances this season.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Demoted to Triple-A
Keirsey was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Keirsey has struggled since his promotion June 15, batting just .111 with one home run, two RBI, three stolen bases and four runs scored over 22 games. Noah Davis was also dispatched to Triple-A, while Luke Keaschall and Thomas Hatch were added to the big-league roster in corresponding moves.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: On bench Sunday
Keirsey is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.
Though he has a clearer path to playing time after Minnesota moved Harrison Bader and Willi Castro at the trade deadline, Keirsey may still be in line for only a part-time role while Bryon Buxton (rib) is on the injured list. Minnesota recalled Austin Martin from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, and he and Keirsey appear likely to share time in center field until Buxton returns. A strong defender who's capable of contributing on the basepaths (eight steals in 11 attempts), Keirsey doesn't profile as a big-league-caliber hitter after struggling to a .110/.141/.183 slash line in 85 plate appearances with the Twins this season.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Back in big leagues
The Twins recalled Keirsey from Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday.
Keirsey will join the Twins as a replacement on the 26-man active roster for third baseman Royce Lewis (hamstring), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. As a result of Lewis' placement on the IL, super-utility player Willi Castro could end up seeing more of his starts in the infield, but Keirsey is more likely to be deployed as a pinch runner or late-inning defensive replacement than being used as an everyday player in the outfield. After winning a spot on the Twins' Opening Day roster, the 28-year-old slashed just .109/.136/.156 with one home run and five stolen bases across 66 plate appearances before he was optioned to St. Paul on May 31.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Optioned to Triple-A
The Twins optioned Keirsey to Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
The move makes room on the Twins' 26-man roster for Matt Wallner (hamstring), who was reinstated off the 10-day injured list. Keirsey cracked the Twins' Opening Day roster but saw inconsistent playing time in the majors due to his .109/.136/.156 slash line and 31.8 percent strikeout rate over 66 plate appearances. He'll look to regain his form in Triple-A, where he posted an .850 OPS with 37 steals, 14 home runs and 81 RBI in 505 plate appearances in 2024.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: On bench after five straight starts
Keirsey is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.
With injuries mounting for the Twins in recent days, Keirsey has been one of the main beneficiaries. He started in each of the last five games, going 3-for-19 with a home run and a stolen base during that stretch. Until the Twins get one of Byron Buxton (concussion) or Matt Wallner (hamstring) back from the injured list, the left-handed-hitting Keirsey could have a regular spot in the outfield against right-handed pitching, but Keirsey will hit the bench Monday while southpaw Logan Allen toes the rubber for Cleveland.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Launches home run
Keirsey went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Thursday's 4-0 win over the Orioles.
Keirsey tagged Tomoyuki Sugano for a two-run shot in the third inning -- the first of back-to-back home runs for the Twins. The long ball was Keirsey's first of 2025 and the second of his big-league career. The 28-year-old entered Thursday's contest with one hit in his previous 21 at-bats. Keirsey has played in 33 games this season but has just 39 plate appearances as he's often entered as a pinch runner or late-inning defensive replacement.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Returns from hand injury
Keirsey (hand) entered Tuesday's win over the White Sox in the ninth inning as a defensive replacement in right field.
Keirsey exited Saturday's game against Atlanta with a hand contusion after getting hit by a pitch. While he hasn't had a plate appearance since suffering the injury, he appears to be healthy enough to be an option off the bench.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Leaves with bruised hand
Keirsey exited Saturday's game against Atlanta with a hand contusion, Audra Martin of FanDuel Sports Network North reports.
Keirsey got the start in right field for Minnesota but was lifted in the top of the fourth inning for pinch-hitter Trevor Larnach after Keirsey was hit in the hand earlier in the game. He's likely to undergo further testing.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Gets start in RF
Keirsey started in right field and went 0-for-4 with one steal in Friday's loss to Atlanta. He hit ninth in the batting order.
Keirsey replaced the injured Matt Wallner (hamstring) in right field and could continue to get starts in his place if he gets hot at the plate. He has speed to help fantasy teams (37 steals at Triple-A last season) but hasn't yet shown he can hit at the major-league level. He's hitting .154 (2-for-13) after batting .111 (2-for-18) in just 13 big-league games last year.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Makes Minnesota's roster
The Twins informed Keirsey on Monday that he has made the Opening Day roster, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Keirsey earned the spot after hitting .275 with one home run and three stolen bases during Grapefruit League play. The 27-year-old can handle all three outfield spots and will operate mostly as a backup, although he could draw some starts in the outfield on days the Twins use Trevor Larnach, Byron Buxton or Matt Wallner at designated hitter.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Back in MLB
The Twins recalled Keirsey from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday.
With Trevor Larnach (hamstring) set to miss the rest of the year due to a hamstring injury, Keirsey will rejoin the Twins to give the big squad some outfield depth. The 27-year-old went just 1-for-10 during his first stint in the majors.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Headed back to Triple-A
The Twins will option Keirsey to Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Keirsey appeared in four games during his first career stint in the majors, during which he went 1-for-10 with a strikeout and an HBP. He'll be sent back to the minors to clear space for Carlos Correa (heel), who is due to return from the injured list Saturday.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Optioned to St. Paul
The Twins optioned Keirsey to Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday.
With Carlos Correa (heel) returning from the injured list, Keirsey will be squeezed back to the minors in order to clear space on Minnesota's active roster. The 27-year-old outfielder went 1-for-10 during his time in the big leagues and only figures to return this season if the Twins' outfield depth is tested during the final few weeks.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Receives first MLB promotion
The Twins selected Keirsey's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Keirsey, 27, has slashed .292/.363/.477 with 14 homers and 36 stolen bases with St. Paul this season. Speed and center field defense are his best assets, and it's possible Keirsey could see some action in center with Byron Buxton's hip injury lingering. He will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.
