Dean logged two plate appearances in 18 big-league games during the 2025 regular season before serving as a defensive specialist for Los Angeles' World Series run. The Dodgers optioned Dean to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Since coming up from the minors Aug. 8, Dean has logged just two plate appearances with the Dodgers while acting primarily as a pinch runner and outfield depth. Now that Tommy Edman (ankle) has returned from the injured list, Dean will be pushed off the active roster and likely finish the season at Triple-A.

Dean went 3-for-11 with a double, four walks, three runs scored, two stolen bases and four strikeouts while appearing in 11 games during spring training. He'll now likely begin the 2025 campaign with Triple-A Oklahoma City as he continues to wait for an opportunity to make his MLB debut.
