  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Doubles twice in win

Clemens went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's win over Detroit. Clemens knocked an RBI double and scored a run during the Twins' three-run first inning. He later doubled again in the third and knocked a single in the eighth. Clemens was 7-for-35 (.200) with one extra-base hit over his past 10 games before Tuesday's three-hit performance. He's now slashing .232/.306/.490 with 24 extra-base hits and 33 RBI through 223 plate appearances.

  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Resting Tuesday

Clemens isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers. Clemens racked up four hits and four RBI over his first two games out of the All-Star break, but he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts and a sacrifice fly Monday. He'll now take a seat Tuesday, opening a spot in the lineup for Ty France to start at first base.

  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Hits third July homer

Clemens went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run during Saturday's 12-4 win over the Pirates. Clemens got the scoring started for the Twins with his third home run in July, a 389-foot, three-run blast that kickstarted a six-run second inning. The 29-year-old, who was claimed off waivers by the Twins earlier this year, continues to be a valuable power bat, as he's slashing .225/.306/.528 with 12 home runs and 26 RBI for Minnesota. With Luke Keaschall (forearm) getting closer to a return, it remains to be seen how much playing time Clemens gets on the other side of the All-Star break.

  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Homers Tuesday

Clemens went 1-for-1 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Mariners. Clemens got the Twins on the board with a solo blast off Luis Castillo in the third inning. Clemens has picked up three consecutive starts at second base, and he could be in store for regular opportunities against right-handed pitching while the absence of Royce Lewis (hamstring) creates an opening in the infield.

  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Goes yard against Reds

Clemens went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during Thursday's 12-5 win over Cincinnati. Clemens launched his seventh home run of the season, tagging Nick Martinez for a two-run homer that plated Ryan Jeffers. Clemens came into Thursday's contest hitless in his last 11 at-bats and without a multi-hit game since May 19. On the year, Clemens is slashing .219/.317/.486 in 121 plate appearances.

  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Starting in third straight vs. RHP

Clemens will start at second base and bat ninth in Thursday's game against the Reds. Clemens started just once in the Twins' last six games while the team faced off against five left-handed pitchers, but he finds himself in the starting nine for the third consecutive matchup with a righty. Outfielder Harrison Bader, meanwhile, has been on the bench for all three of those matchups with righties, so Bader and Clemens could end up forming a de facto righty/lefty platoon while the Twins have an open spot in the lineup with Royce Lewis (hamstring) on the injured list. Both Clemens and Bader could see their opportunities tail off once Lewis is back in action.

  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Stays hot with homer

Clemens went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Royals. The 29-year-old took Michael Wacha deep to lead off the bottom of the sixth inning and chase the righty from the game. Clemens has hit safely in each of his last six games and has an extra-base hit in five straight, and since May 11 he's batting .406 (13-for-32) with four doubles, a triple, three homers, six runs and nine RBI in 10 contests. The Twins' infield is nearly at full strength following the return of Carlos Correa from the concussion IL on Friday, but Clemens -- who has seen action at first base, second base, and both outfield corners in 2025 -- will be hard to dislodge from his strong-side platoon role given his current form.

  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Hitting bench Monday

Clemens is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians. Though he'll exit the lineup with southpaw Logan Allen taking the hill for Cleveland, the left-handed-hitting Clemens appears to have temporarily settled into a regular starting role versus righties while injuries have begun to mount for Minnesota. Clemens started in each of the Twins' last five games, going 8-for-19 with two home runs, one double, two walks, six RBI and an additional run.

  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Remains hot with three hits

Clemens went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in a 7-0 win against Milwaukee on Saturday. Clemens collected his first three-hit performance of the campaign, with one of his knocks being a solo homer in the fifth inning. The 29-year-old began the season with just three hits over his first 24 at-bats, but he's picked things up of late. Over his past four contests, Clemens has recorded three multi-hit efforts while going 7-for-15 with two long balls and six RBI.

  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Smacks first homer of 2025

Clemens went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 4-3 win over Boston. Clemens, who started at second base and batted seventh, gave the Twins a two-run lead in the sixth inning, when he took Hunter Dobbins deep to right field for a two-run homer. It was Clemens' first home run of the season, and he's started in three of the Twins' last four games due to injuries to Willi Castro (oblique), Matt Wallner (hamstring), Luke Keaschall (forearm) and Royce Lewis (hamstring).

  • Twins' Kody Clemens: Shipped to Minnesota

The Phillies traded Clemens to the Twins on Friday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports. Clemens was dropped from Philadelphia's 40-man roster Wednesday after appearing in just seven games, during which he went 0-for-6 with a walk. His move to Minnesota will put him back on a team's 40-man, and he figures to have an easier path to playing time in the Twins' infield with Willi Castro (oblique), Royce Lewis (hamstring) and now Luke Keaschall (forearm) all dealing with injuries.

  • Phillies' Kody Clemens: Dropped from 40-man roster

The Phillies designated Clemens for assignment Wednesday. Though he had been on the active roster since Opening Day, Clemens had made no starts and logged just seven plate appearances through the Phillies' first 24 contests. As a left-handed bench bat who doesn't profile as a platoon option, Clemens was deemed an expendable piece and will cede his spot on the 26-man active roster to the right-handed-hitting Weston Wilson (oblique), who was activated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Clemens doesn't have minor-league options remaining, so the Phillies will have to expose him to waivers first in order for him to potentially remain in the organization as infield depth at Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

  • Phillies' Kody Clemens: Headed for role reduction

Clemens is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets. Clemens had started nine of the Phillies' last 10 games, going 7-for-34 (.206 average) with a home run, three doubles, six RBI and five runs. His starting opportunities will likely be few and far between moving forward, however, as Alec Bohm (hand) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Sunday and will slot back in as the Phillies' everyday third baseman.

  • Phillies' Kody Clemens: Absent from starting nine

Clemens is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Atlanta. Clemens will dodge a matchup with southpaw Max Fried on Friday, giving way to Alec Bohm at first base. Clemens is batting 4-for-14 with a pair of doubles across his last four games.

  • Phillies' Kody Clemens: Back from IL

The Phillies activated Clemens (back) from the 10-day injured list Friday. Clemens has missed most of June with back spasms but is ready to go following a six-game rehab stint which included a pair of home runs. He will give the Phillies an option both at first base and designated hitter while Bryce Harper (hamstring) and Kyle Schwarber (groin) are out.

  • Phillies' Kody Clemens: Set for rehab assignment

Clemens (back) will begin a rehab assignment later this week, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. Gelb notes that Clemens is set to receive regular reps in left field while on his rehab assignment. It's a position he's played a little bit both in the majors and minors, and it now looks like his best path to playing time in the majors with Brandon Marsh slated to see most of his starts in center field following Johan Rojas' demotion to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Clemens has been out since early June with lower-back spasms.

  • Phillies' Kody Clemens: Placed on 10-day IL

The Phillies placed Clemens on the 10-day injured list Monday with lower-back spasms, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Clemens had been set to return to action Sunday against the Cardinals before being scratched from the lineup. The Phillies have ultimately opted to give him extra time to heal from the back injury. He should have a chance to return from the IL next week when first eligible.

  • Phillies' Kody Clemens: Homers, doubles in season debut

Clemens went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a double during Monday's 7-0 win over the Reds. Clemens filled the role of Bryce Harper (personal) rather admirably, earning the start at first base and contributing two extra-base hits. Following his double in the fourth, Clemens capped his day with a three-run homer over the wall in right center on a full count in the ninth to help rubber stamp the Phillies' win. Despite the performance, Clemens may not remain in Philly for much longer, as Harper should return from the paternity list in a few days, likely signaling Clemens' return to Triple-A.

  • Phillies' Kody Clemens: Getting start at first base

Clemens will start at first base and bat eighth in Monday's game in Cincinnati. After being called up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley earlier in the day, Clemens will get the first chance to fill in for everyday first baseman Bryce Harper, who was placed on the paternity list. The 27-year-old Clemens received 148 plate appearances with the Phillies last season, producing a .644 OPS with four home runs. Clemens will likely be sent back down to Triple-A once Harper is ready to return later this week.

  • Phillies' Kody Clemens: Back from illness

Clemens (illness) is starting at third base and batting sixth in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates. Clemens has been sidelined the past few days by an illness but will return to the lineup for Sunday's contest. The 27-year-old has a .429/.556/.571 slash line through 18 plate appearances in Grapefruit League play as he attempts to earn a place on the Opening Day roster.
