Twins' Luke Keaschall: Exiting starting nine
Keaschall is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Toronto.
Keaschall had started every game since coming off the injured list Aug. 5, so he's earned a breather for the series opener versus the Blue Jays. Kody Clemens will replace Keaschall at second base Monday.

Twins' Luke Keaschall: Picks up sixth steal
Keaschall went 1-for-5 with one RBI and one stolen base in Thursday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Tigers.
Keaschall had four multi-hit efforts in five games after returning from a fractured forearm Aug. 5, but he's since slowed down. He has gone just 2-for-17 over his last four contests, and his steal Thursday was his first since before the injury. Overall, the top prospect has been fairly steady over a small sample, batting .328 with two home runs, six steals, 14 RBI, seven runs scored and six doubles across 16 games this season. He should continue to play on a near-everyday basis, primarily at second base.

Twins' Luke Keaschall: Launches walk-off homer
Keaschall went 3-for-5 with a double and a two-run homer in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Royals.
Keaschall's second major-league homer was a big one -- he took Carlos Estevez deep the opposite way with two outs in the 11th inning, giving the Twins a two-run, walk-off victory. The 22-year-old Keaschall has been red-hot since rejoining Minnesota earlier this month following an extended stint on the IL with a fractured forearm. He's gone 10-for-22 (.455) with 10 RBI in five games. The rookie should continue to see regular playing time at second base down the stretch.

Twins' Luke Keaschall: Drives in three in win
Keaschall went 2-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI in Wednesday's 9-4 win over the Tigers.
Keaschall opened the scoring with a two-run double in the first inning and added another RBI double in the fourth. The rookie has hit safely in eight of his first nine major-league games, with the lone exception coming April 25, when he fractured his forearm in his only plate appearance. During that stretch, he's slashing .393/.514/.679 with six extra-base hits, eight RBI, five runs scored and five steals across just 35 plate appearances.

Twins' Luke Keaschall: Homers in return
Keaschall went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's win against the Tigers.
In his first MLB at-bat since April 25, Keaschall ripped a two-run shot for his first career home run. He later knocked an RBI single in the fifth inning. Keaschall fractured his forearm in April but picked up right where he left off before the injury. He's produced a 1.185 OPS with five RBI and five stolen bases through 30 plate appearances.

Twins' Luke Keaschall: Activated from injured list
The Twins reinstated Keaschall (forearm) from the 60-day injured list, and he's starting at second base and batting fifth Tuesday against the Tigers.
The rookie second baseman had been sidelined since late April due to a fractured forearm, but he's back on the active roster after a 14-game rehab assignment. Keaschall played in just seven MLB games prior to the injury but had a hot start to his career, going 7-for-19 with three doubles and five steals in 26 plate appearances.

Twins' Luke Keaschall: Likely back from IL on Tuesday
Keaschall (forearm) is likely to be activated from the 60-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game in Detroit, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
The Twins elected not to activate Keaschall from the IL this past Friday when he was first eligible. However, he has a locker in the Twins clubhouse at Comerica Park, indicating that Keaschall's activation is imminent. The rookie has been shelved since late April with a fractured right forearm. Keaschall should see something close to everyday playing time over the final two months, perhaps in a super-utility role.

Twins' Luke Keaschall: Continuing rehab stint
Keaschall (forearm) won't be reinstated from the 60-day injured list Friday and will continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
The Twins have a ton of roster spots to fill coming out of the trade deadline, but Keaschall needs a bit more time in the minors before rejoining the active roster. The 22-year-old served exclusively as a designated hitter during the first week of his rehab assignment, and he'll continue building up his defensive work with St. Paul. Once reinstated, Keaschall should see plenty of playing time following the departures of Carlos Correa (illness), Willi Castro, Harrison Bader and Ty France.
