  • Tigers' Max Anderson: Putting together impressive season

Anderson is performing well in the minors this season and will play in the Arizona Fall League, where he'll focus on defense and finding a good positional fit, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports. Anderson has a .296 batting average, 29 doubles, 18 home runs, 82 RBI and an .830 OPS in 115 games between Double-A Erie and Triple-A Toledo this season. The 23-year-old, who primarily plays second and third base, has put himself into a position to potentially make his MLB debut at some point in 2026. Anderson will use the AFL assignment to focus on further developing his defensive versatility and finding the right fit, and if he continues to rake as well, his prospect stock should rise heading into next season.

  • Tigers' Max Anderson: Keeps hitting after promotion

Anderson is hitting .308 with two home runs in six games since getting promoted to Triple-A Toledo on Aug. 11. Anderson has had a breakout year and slashed .306/.358/.499 with 14 home runs and a 14.6 percent strikeout rate in 90 games for Double-A Erie prior to his promotion. He will always be a hit-over-power player, but Anderson has hit for enough power this year to give himself a chance to make it as an everyday second baseman. If Gleyber Torres leaves in free agency this offseason, Anderson and fellow prospect Hao-Yu Lee could earn playing time at second base in 2026.

  • Tigers' Max Anderson: Finishing strong for Whitecaps

Anderson is slashing .321/.384/.513 with three home runs and a 10:8 K:BB over his last 20 games for High-A Lakeland. The minor-league pitching is a little watered down this time of year, but something may be clicking for Anderson at the plate down the stretch. The 22-year-old second baseman only has a .265/.316/.390 line for the year, so he could be a little undervalued in deep dynasty leagues.
