  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Tosses five scoreless frames

Peralta did not factor into Saturday's decision against the Giants, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out six across five innings.

Peralta generated 13 whiffs on 96 pitches (54 strikes) to line himself up for the win before the Giants tacked on three runs in the sixth frame. Peralta has kept his opponents scoreless in three straight starts and is in the midst of the best season of his career. His 15 wins leads the majors, and his 2.68 ERA (across 147.2 innings) ranks eighth among qualified starters. He's slated to start against the Diamondbacks at home next week.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Hurls six one-hit, scoreless frames

Peralta (15-5) earned the win over the Cubs on Monday, allowing one hit and issuing three walks while striking out six batters over six scoreless innings.

Peralta was dominant in what was slated to be the first game of a doubleheader (Game 2 ended up being postponed), cruising through six scoreless frames on 95 pitches. The only hit he allowed was a first-inning single by Seiya Suzuki, and all three free passes he issued came to consecutive batters in the fourth. Peralta recovered from that wild stretch to retire the final eight batters he faced, finishing with his second straight scoreless quality start. The right-hander is in the midst of a career-best campaign -- he leads MLB with a career-high 15 victories and ranks 15th with 154 punchouts over 142.2 frames. Peralta's 2.78 ERA is on pace for a career-best mark.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Cruises past Pirates

Peralta (14-5) got the win over the Pirates on Tuesday, tossing six scoreless frames while allowing just three hits and a walk. He struck out seven.

Peralta outshined Paul Skenes in Tuesday's clash and was backed by the offense in a big way. Peralta struck out four through the first two innings and has struck out seven or more in five of his last seven outings. Peralta is putting together one of the best campaigns of his career and now sits at a 2.90 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 148:50 K:BB in 136.2 innings. He lines up to face the Cubs on the road to begin next week.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Pushed back to Tuesday

Peralta will make his next start Tuesday versus the Pirates, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Peralta was expected to toe the rubber in Monday's series opener with Pittsburgh, but he'll now be pushed back a day. The right-hander has labored through his last couple starts, but he still owns a 3.03 ERA over 24 outings this season, and he will now throw opposite Pirates phenom Paul Skenes on Tuesday. Jose Quintana will draw the start against Pittsburgh on Monday.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Sharp in 13th win

Peralta (13-5) picked up the win in Tuesday's 7-2 victory over Atlanta, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

The right-hander racked up 31 called or swinging strikes among his 108 pitches (63 total strikes) in a typically dominant, if not exactly efficient, performance. Peralta could push himself into NL Cy Young contention with a strong finish to the season -- his 13 wins are tied for the major-league lead with Garrett Crochet, and Peralta boasts top-10 marks in the Senior Circuit in ERA (3.03), WHIP (1.14) and strikeouts (141). His chances of collecting win No. 14 look good in his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Pirates.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Lacks command in loss

Peralta (12-5) took the loss against the Cubs on Wednesday, allowing five runs on five hits and four walks with three strikeouts over four innings.

Peralta tied a season high with four walks and was undone by a four-run third inning in his shortest start of the season. The 29-year-old has now yielded 10 earned runs over 14 innings in his past three outings after opening July with three straight quality starts. He owns a 3.08 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 134:46 K:BB across 125.2 innings and will aim to rebound in a road matchup with Atlanta early next week.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Strikes out nine in no-decision

Peralta did not factor into the decision in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Marlins, allowing one run on five hits and two walks with nine strikeouts over five innings.

Peralta gave up a solo homer in the third inning but was otherwise sharp, generating 17 swinging strikes on 98 pitches. It was a solid rebound effort after the All-Star allowed four runs against the Dodgers on Saturday, and he's now yielded three earned runs or fewer in 20 of his 22 starts this season. He'll take a 2.81 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 131:42 K:BB across 121.2 innings into a home matchup with the Cubs next week.
