Atlanta optioned Seabold to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.

Braves' Connor Seabold: Recalled by Atlanta
Atlanta recalled Seabold from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.
Seabold was claimed off waivers earlier this month and is now headed to the majors. The right-hander has permitted one run with a 5:3 K:BB over 6.2 frames at the big-league level this season. Seabold has made 10 starts in 2025 at the Triple-A level, so he has the ability to eat up some innings out of the bullpen.

Braves' Connor Seabold: Finds home with Atlanta
Atlanta claimed Seabold off waivers from Tampa Bay on Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Though he'll report to Triple-A, Seabold will provide Atlanta with organizational starting pitching depth as the big club navigates numerous injuries to its rotation. Seabold made a pair of multi-inning relief appearances for Tampa Bay but has primarily worked out of the rotation at Triple-A Durham this season, logging a 6.49 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 57:26 K:BB across 61 innings.

Rays' Connor Seabold: Opening season in minors
The Rays reassigned Seabold to minor-league camp Sunday.
Seabold previously made 19 starts at the big-league level between stops with the Red Sox and Rockies from 2021 through 2023, but he fell short in his bid for a spot in the Rays' Opening Day rotation. The 29-year-old right-hander will head to Triple-A Durham to begin the campaign, but after excelling in the Korea Baseball Organization with the Samsung Lions last season and acquitting himself well in Grapefruit League play this spring (4.91 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, .171 batting average against in 11 innings), Seabold could be in the mix for starts with the Rays later on in 2025.

Connor Seabold: Inks deal with Korean club
Seabold signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with the Samsung Lions of the Korea Baseball Organization on Friday, Jee-ho Yoo of South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reports.
Seabold will have an opportunity to make an additional $100,000 in incentives, which would bring his earnings to an even $1 million. It's a nice little raise and opportunity for the soon-to-be 28-year-old after he was released by the Rockies earlier this month following a 7.52 ERA in 2023.

Connor Seabold: Released by Rockies
Seabold was released by the Rockies on Wednesday, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports.
The Rockies needed to clear a spot on their 40-man roster if they wanted to make a pick during Wednesday's Rule 5 Draft, and they've done just that. Seabold posted a ghastly 7.52 ERA over 27 appearances (13 starts) for Colorado in 2023. He'll turn 28 next month.

Rockies' Connor Seabold: Heads back to Triple-A

Colorado will swap Seabold off the 26-man active roster in favor of a fresh arm in right-hander Karl Kauffmann, who should serve as a multi-inning option out of the bullpen. After the ugly outing, Seabold is now sitting on a 7.65 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over 82.1 innings on the season.

Rockies' Connor Seabold: Struggles again Saturday
Seabold (1-7) allowed six runs on six hits and two walks while striking out one over 2.1 innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Yankees.
Seabold has completely fallen apart with 30 runs allowed over his last 19 innings. All of them have been earned, and yielding 10 home runs in that span certainly isn't helping his cause, though half of those long balls have come in his two road starts in that span. Seabold now has a 7.18 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 54:24 K:BB through 72.2 innings on the year. Despite the crooked numbers, the Rockies are currently lacking in pitching depth, so he can be tentatively projected to make a road start in Miami next week.

Rockies' Connor Seabold: Early exit against Giants
Seabold (1-6) took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on seven hits and a walk over 3.2 innings as the Rockies were downed 5-3 by the Giants. He struck out three.
The right-hander needed 73 pitches (47 strikes) to record just 11 outs as he failed to complete four innings for the second time in his last four outings. Seabold is proving to be overmatched as a rotation option. losing four straight starts and posting a 12.96 ERA and 1.92 WHIP over that stretch, but Colorado doesn't have any clear alternatives to replace him after the All-Star break.

Rockies' Connor Seabold: Tagged for three homers
Seabold (1-5) allowed eight runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Tigers.
Seabold gave up a grand slam to Javier Baez in the first inning, and additional homers by Kerry Carpenter and Jake Rogers accounted for the rest of the damage. The long ball has been a problem for Seabold lately -- he's given up a combined eight homers over his last 13 innings while losing three straight starts. He's now at a 6.62 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 50:21 K:BB through 66.2 innings over 18 appearances (11 starts). The right-hander is projected for a road start in San Francisco in his next outing.
