White Sox's Corey Julks: Outrighted to Triple-A
Julks cleared waivers Thursday and was sent outright to Triple-A Charlotte, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Julks went 3-for-8 in a White Sox uniform before being DFA'd by the club Tuesday. After clearing waivers, he'll officially remain in the organization and head back to Charlotte, where he's slashed .295/.373/.470 with 46 RBI, 58 runs scored and 13 steals over 87 games this year. He could find himself back in Chicago soon if he continues to hit well in the minors.

White Sox's Corey Julks: DFA'd by White Sox
The White Sox designated Julks for assignment Tuesday.
Chicago selected Julks' contract from Triple-A Charlotte at the start of August, but he'll lose his place on the 26-man and 40-man rosters after going 3-for-8 with two doubles and two runs in four games. If he clears waivers, the 29-year-old could end up back at Charlotte, where he has an .843 OPS with 10 homers and 13 steals in 87 games this year.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Very late addition to lineup
Julks is batting seventh and starting in left field against the Angels on Saturday.
Julks wasn't originally slated to start, but he was added to the starting nine just before the beginning of the game while Miguel Vargas was scratched. Saturday will mark Julks' MLB season debut after he had his contract selected from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Selected from Charlotte
The White Sox selected Julks' contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.
Julks missed out on an MLB roster spot out of spring training, but he'll now earn one after slashing .295/.373/.470 with 10 homers, 46 RBI, 58 runs scored and 13 steals through 87 games in Triple-A. The 29-year-old will replace Will Robertson on the active roster and may form a platoon in right field with the lefty-hitting Mike Tauchman.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Loses out on roster spot
The White Sox reassigned Julks to minor-league camp Monday.
Outrighted off Chicago's 40-man roster in January, Julks still received an invitation to big-league spring training but was unable to make much of a push for a bench role with the White Sox to open the season. After turning in a .581 OPS in 189 plate appearances with Chicago in 2024, Julks went 6-for-27 (.222 average) with 10 strikeouts over 13 Cactus League games. Julks is expected to begin the season at Triple-A Charlotte.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Outrighted to Triple-A
The White Sox outrighted Julks to Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

White Sox's Corey Julks: DFA'd by ChiSox
The White Sox designated Julks for assignment Saturday.
Julks' departure from the 40-man roster opens up a spot for Cam Booser, whom Chicago acquired via trade earlier Saturday. Julks appeared in 66 games for the White Sox in 2024, slashing .214/.275/.306 with three homers and five stolen bases.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Sent to minors
The White Sox optioned Julks to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.
He'll give up his spot on the 28-man active roster to third baseman Yoan Moncada (adductor), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list. Since being acquired from the Astros in mid-May and reporting to Chicago, Julks produced a .581 OPS with three home runs and five stolen bases over 189 plate appearances with the White Sox. He mostly served as a short-side platoon player in the White Sox outfield, but Julks should get the chance to play on an everyday basis at Charlotte.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Swipes bag in loss
Julks went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Cubs.
Julks remains in a reserve role, leading to little playing time. He's played in 16 games since the start of July, going 4-for-21 with two steals and one RBI in that span. The outfielder is slashing .231/.301/.364 with three home runs, five steals, eight RBI, 11 runs scored and seven doubles over 133 plate appearances. Julks is likely to see most of his playing time in right field versus left-handed pitchers, with Gavin Sheets or Dominic Fletcher handling the strong side of the platoon.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Settling back into reserve role
Julks is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.
Julks is on the bench after he started in each of the White Sox's last three games, with the latter two coming against left-handed pitchers. Though he's served as a near-everyday player for much of his time with the White Sox since getting called up from Triple-A Charlotte on May 17, Julks appears set to lose out on regularly playing time moving forward following the recent returns of Andrew Benintendi and Tommy Pham from the injured list.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Idle Thursday
Julks isn't in the White Sox's lineup for Thursday's game against Seattle.
Julks will take a seat Thursday after recording just one hit in 13 at-bats through the first three games of the series. His absence will allow Oscar Colas to start in right field and bat seventh.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Swipes third bag
Julks went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base Sunday against the Red Sox.
Julks has taken over as the White Sox's leadoff hitter across the last six games (five starts) and has gone 5-for-21 with a home run, a stolen base and two runs scored. He's been productive since joining the White Sox overall, maintaining a .366 wOBA and 139 wRC+ in 19 contests.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Idle Thursday
Julks isn't in the White Sox's lineup for Thursday's game against Boston.
Despite putting together an eight-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 11-for-33 with a homer and three RBI, Julks will sit down against Tanner Houck and the Red Sox on Thursday. Zach DeLoach will take over in left field while batting leadoff.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Clubs leadoff homer
Julks went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Cubs.
Julks gave the White Sox a hot start, homering on Jameson Taillon's first pitch of the game. During his eight-game hitting streak, Julks has gone 11-for-33 (.333) with four extra-base hits and three RBI. It looks like the 28-year-old outfielder could get a look at leadoff while Tommy Pham (ankle) is out, as that's where Julks has batted in the last two games -- against lefty Shota Imanaga on Tuesday and the right-handed Taillon on Wednesday. Julks has a .315/.393/.519 slash line with two homers, six RBI, six runs scored and two stolen bases over 61 plate appearances.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Gets look as leadoff hitter
Julks went 1-for-5 with a double Tuesday against the Cubs.
Even with the return of Luis Robert, the White Sox's outfield remains shorthanded without Andrew Benintendi (Achilles) and Tommy Pham (ankle). As a result, Julks has started 10 consecutive games, during which he's gone 11-for-39 with three doubles, two RBI and three runs scored. Most notable Tuesday was that Julks took over as the team's leadoff hitter in the absence of Pham.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Capturing steady playing time
Julks will start in left field and bat cleanup in Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Julks will pick up his third consecutive start and looks like he'll have a path to a regular spot in the lineup while Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) is on the injured list. Since being acquired from the Astros on May 15 and getting recalled from Triple-A two days later, Julks has gone 6-for-18 with a home run, two doubles, five walks, five RBI and two runs in seven games with Chicago.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Productive start to time with Sox
Julks went 1-for-3 with two RBI, a walk and a stolen base Tuesday against the Blue Jays.
Julks was dealt to the White Sox on May 15 after being designated for assignment by the Astros and was recalled to the big-league club two days later. He's made three starts in five games since and gone 4-for-11 with a run scored, three RBI and two stolen bases. Julks could see a more consistent role moving forward if Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) is forced to miss time.

White Sox's Corey Julks: Homers in second game with new club
Julks went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Sunday against the Yankees.
Making his second start since being acquired from the Astros on May 15, Julks' solo homer in the second put the White Sox on the board and provided what turned out to be a short-lived lead for the Pale Hose. Julks later added a single, giving him three hits through two games in Chicago. Julks batted .245 with six homers and 15 steals over 323 plate appearances last season with the Astros and figures to see some action against lefties on the short side of a platoon, at least until Luis Robert (hip) returns to the lineup.
