Freeman went 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's victory over the Diamondbacks.
The right-handed hitter replaced Mickey Moniak in the seventh inning and made the most of his chances, belting a two-run homer in the eighth off Andrew Saalfrank. Freeman has been hot at the plate, hitting safely in six straight contests and in 12 of 14 games this month.

Freeman tallied his first multi-hit game in his last 10 starts, and he hit only .220 in that span. He snapped out of that slump Wednesday, reaching base on a trio of singles while stealing his 15th base of the season in the ninth inning. Freeman has slowed since the All-Star break but is still hitting exactly .300 with only a 9.6 percent strikeout rate across 280 plate appearances on the campaign.

Hunter Goodman will serve as Colorado's designated hitter and Yanquiel Fernandez will pick up a start in right field while Freeman rests for the series finale in Arizona. It was an encouraging showing for the 26-year-old, who came into Monday mired in a 2-for-19 slump over the Rockies' previous two series. Freeman has settled into an everyday role between right field and DH, but he'll begin on the bench Sunday. It's not clear if the speedy veteran will be available off the bench. With Freeman out of the lineup, Hunter Goodman is getting a day off his feet at DH, while Yanquiel Fernandez is starting in right field.
