Herrera went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-3 extra-inning loss to the Reds.
Herrera logged multiple hits for the second game in a row. He also ended a 14-game power drought when he went yard in the third inning off Andrew Abbott. Herrera is batting .244 with a .748 OPS, 12 home runs, 44 RBI, 65 runs scored, 15 doubles, one triple and six stolen bases over 104 contests this season. He continues to see steady time between catcher and designated hitter.

Cardinals' Ivan Herrera: Notches steal Friday
Herrera went 0-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Reds.
Herrera received his first day off Thursday. Since the All-Star break, he's been held hitless five times in seven games, part of a larger downward trend that has him batting just .192 (15-for-78) in July. The catcher is batting .239 with a .735 OPS, 11 home runs, six steals, 41 RBI, 63 runs scored, 14 doubles and a triple over 102 contests. He's five games shy of matching his career-high workload from last year, and while he's primarily worked as a designated hitter, he may need more frequent off days to stay fresh.

Herrera went 3-for-4 with a walk, three runs scored and two RBI in Friday's 17-1 win over the Cubs.
All three hits were singles, but Herrera was still in the thick of the offensive eruption by the Cardinals. It was the first multi-hit effort for the 26-year-old catcher/designated hitter since June 21, snapping a nine-game skid that had seen him bat just .129 (4-for-31) with one double and one RBI. Despite the brief swoon, Herrera sports a respectable .258/.396/.406 slash line on the season with 10 homers, five steals, 38 RBI and 58 runs in 85 contests.

Herrera went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a hit-by-pitch and three runs scored in Sunday's 12-10 win over the Royals.
Herrera collected a pair of singles and delivered a three-run homer in the fifth inning off Steven Cruz for his 10th home run of the season. The catcher has been one of St. Louis' hottest hitters recently, batting .333 with a 1.134 OPS over his last 12 games. Herrera's season-long splits have been notable, as he has found considerably more success away from Busch Stadium, slashing .311/.463/.481 on the road compared to .221/.345/.379 at home.

The 26-year-old catcher snapped an 18-game power drought with his first multi-homer performance of the season, as he launched a two-run homer off Connor Prielipp in the first inning and a solo blast in the seventh off Justin Lawrence. Herrera has been an on-base machine so far in June, batting .324 (12-for-37) over the last 10 games with a .479 OBP fueled by six walks and five HBPs. That surge has boosted his slash line on the season to .270/.400/.437 with nine homers, three steals, 31 RBI and 46 runs in 68 contests.
