Lile (illness) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.
Lile will be on the bench for a fourth straight game Wednesday while he recovers from an illness, though the left-handed-hitting outfielder may not have started even if fully healthy since the Yankees are sending southpaw Max Fried to the bump. With an off day on tap Thursday, Lile should have a good chance at being ready to go for Friday's series opener versus the Rays.

Nationals' Daylen Lile: Recovering from illness
Nationals interim manager Miguel Cairo said that Lile is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees due to an illness, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
The left-handed-hitting Lile was excluded from the lineup for Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Phillies while southpaw Ranger Suarez toed the rubber for Philadelphia, but the illness helps explain why the outfielder is getting a second straight day off with right-hander Cam Schlittler starting for New York. Cairo noted that he's hopeful Lile will return to the starting nine Tuesday.

Lile went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's loss to the Brewers.

Lile went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and was also hit by a pitch, during Monday's 10-8 win over the Reds.
Lile's rookie season had yet to feature a performance with multiple RBI, but that changed with the youngster's bases-clearing triple in the first inning. Nationals' Daylen Lile: Getting first day off since call-up
Lile is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
For the first time since being called up from Triple-A Rochester on May 23, Lile will hit the bench as Alex Call replaces him in right field. While starting in each of the past 10 games, Lile held his own at the plate, slashing .226/.286/.419 with five extra-base hits (four doubles, one triple), three runs and two RBI.
