  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Recalled from Tacoma

The Mariners recalled Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday, Tim Booth of The Seattle Times reports. Saucedo rejoins the Mariners' pitching staff after Logan Evans (elbow) was placed on the 15-day IL. Saucedo has appeared in five games for Seattle out of the bullpen this season, registering a 7.71 ERA, 2.36 WHIP and 4:3 K:BB across 4.2 innings.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Sent down to minors

The Mariners optioned Saucedo to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday. Saucedo took Carlos Vargas' spot on the 26-man active roster for a few days while the latter was on paternity leave, but with Vargas getting reinstated Monday, Saucedo will head back to the minors. The lefty reliever has permitted four runs with a 4:3 K:BB across 4.2 frames with the big club this season.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Back in big leagues

The Mariners recalled Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday. The 32-year-old will take Carlos Vargas' spot on the active roster as Vargas heads to the paternity list. Saucedo has a 3.38 ERA in 10 appearances with Tacoma, but he's yielded four runs in 3.2 innings with the Mariners in 2025. He hasn't been on the active roster since late April.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Returns to Triple-A

The Mariners optioned Saucedo to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday. The left-hander was called up by Seattle on Saturday and will return to Tacoma after firing a scoreless inning during a 14-0 victory. Saucedo has given up four earned runs in his four major-league outings this year and is unlikely to fill more than a middle-relief role if he receives another look with the Mariners.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Up from Tacoma

The Mariners recalled Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday. Saucedo was sent to the minors in early April after allowing four earned runs in just 2.2 innings. Since then, he's given up only one run in 6.1 frames at Tacoma, and he'll now rejoin the Mariners' bullpen to give depth to a pitching staff that is now without Logan Gilbert (elbow).

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Optioned to Triple-A

The Mariners optioned Saucedo to Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday. Saucedo has gotten off to a rough start this season, with four earned runs allowed in just 2.2 innings spanning three appearances. He'll look to right the ship in the minors; meanwhile, Jesse Hahn will come up from Triple-A to fill the vacancy in Seattle's bullpen.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Notches save Sunday

Saucedo recorded one out to earn a save over the Royals on Sunday. Saucedo needed only two pitches to record the final out of the 10th inning during Sunday's win. He's picked up two saves and a hold this month despite getting only four outs during those three appearances. He lowered his ERA to 2.81 through 16 innings this season. Saucedo shouldn't see many save chances moving forward as Andres Munoz (back) returned to action Sunday.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Nabs second win Tuesday

Saucedo (2-0) got the win against the Astros on Tuesday, firing a scoreless eighth inning during which he issued a walk and recorded a strikeout. The veteran southpaw was making his first appearance since being activated off the injured list Sunday, and he served as an effective bridge to Ryne Stanek in the ninth with his clean inning. Saucedo has been effective all season when available, and he now owns a 1.54 ERA and 0.86 WHIP across the 11.2 innings covering his last 11 appearances.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Suffers knee injury

Saucedo left Tuesday's game against the Twins due to a knee injury, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. While running to cover first base on a ground ball during the eighth inning, Saucedo seemed to jam his right leg on the bag before crumbling to the ground in pain and grabbing his knee. The Mariners have yet to reveal the nature of the injury, but manager Scott Servais said the left-hander will be sidelined for "a while." Saucedo has been used primarily in middle relief this season, logging a 2.70 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across 13.1 innings.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Picks up one-out save

Saucedo got the save Tuesday in a 3-1 win over the Reds after retiring the only batter he faced in the ninth. Ryne Stanek was brought in to begin the ninth to try and close the game, but two walks and an error loaded the bases for the Reds with two outs and led to Saucedo being called upon to replace him. The 31-year-old was able to get the job done after getting Tyler Stephenson to fly out to center to pick up his second career save. Saucedo has been a strong option out of the bullpen early on, posting a 2.70 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB in 6.2 innings, but he will likely be behind Andres Munoz and Stanek for saves most nights.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Wiggles through trouble for win

Saucedo (1-0) was credited with the win in the extra-inning victory over the Red Sox on Saturday, allowing a hit and issuing an intentional walk over one-third of a scoreless inning. Saucedo was called on to put out the fire with a man on second and two outs in the 10th inning, and although he surrendered a game-tying RBI single to Masataka Yoshida that plated a run charged to Trent Thornton, he managed to get Trevor Story to fly out to snuff out the threat. Saucedo then became the pitcher of record when Julio Rodriguez laced a game-winning hit in the home half of the frame, giving the southpaw his first victory in what was already his second appearance of the young season.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Efficient for first save Tuesday

Saucedo recorded his first save in an extra-inning win over the Royals on Tuesday, firing a perfect 10th inning during which he didn't record a strikeout or issue a walk. With Justin Topa and Andres Munoz having worked the previous 2.2 innings and Matt Brash having pitched the previous two days, Saucedo was called on for a rare save opportunity. The 30-year-old southpaw was masterful while rising to the task, disposing of MJ Melendez, Freddy Fermin and Nelson Velazquez in extremely efficient fashion. Saucedo has now posted scoreless appearances in nine of his last 10 trips to the mound, a 10.1-inning stretch during which he's pitched to an 0.87 ERA and 0.87 WHIP while recording a win and two holds in addition to Tuesday's save.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Impressive in Sunday's win

Saucedo (3-1) got the extra-inning win against the Angels on Sunday, firing two perfect innings during which he recorded three strikeouts. With both Andres Munoz and Matt Brash unavailable due to recent usage, manager Scott Servais entrusted Saucedo with preserving a 2-2 tie. The left-hander could hardly have been more effective, firing 18 of his 25 pitches for strikes and generating six swings and misses overall. Saucedo has been on an extended stretch of impressive pitching, as he last allowed a run back on July 18 and sports a 1-0 record, 0.61 ERA, Sunday's win and a pair of holds over the 14.2 innings covering his last 14 appearances.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Takes first loss Saturday

Saucedo (2-1) took the loss in extra innings against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing an unearned run on two hits over two-thirds of an inning. The southpaw appeared on his way to working his way out of the 11th inning following two quick outs, but consecutive singles by Andrew Benintendi and Zach Remillard snapped a 3-3 tie and gave the White Sox a one-run lead the Mariners wouldn't overcome. Saucedo does now have three straight appearances without allowing an earned run, but it's worth noting his usage in the high-leverage scenario was essentially the byproduct of Andres Munoz, Paul Sewald and Gabe Speier having already been deployed earlier in the game.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Recalled from Tacoma

Seattle recalled Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday. Saucedo gives the Mariners a fresh arm in the bullpen to replace Darren McCaughan, who's heading to Tacoma in a corresponding move. Acquired from the Mets via waivers in the offseason, Saucedo will now have a chance to make his debut with the Mariners during his time with the big-league club.

  • Mets' Tayler Saucedo: Booted from 40-man roster

Saucedo was designated for assignment by the Mets on Tuesday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports. Saucedo will serve as the Mets' roster casualty after the team officially announced the signing of Tommy Pham on Tuesday. The 29-year-old reliever spent much of last season on the injured list, though he was able to post a 2.37 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 19 Triple-A frames.

  • Blue Jays' Tayler Saucedo: Resumes rehab assignment

Saucedo (hip) resumed a rehab assignment at Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports. Saucedo recently had his rehab assignment paused due to left shoulder fatigue, but he returned to action at Buffalo on Friday and struck out the side on 15 pitches. The southpaw has had rehab assignments paused twice since landing on the injured list in late April, so the Blue Jays will likely exercise caution before clearing him to rejoin the major-league club.

  • Blue Jays' Tayler Saucedo: Shifts to 60-day IL

Saucedo (hip) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Wednesday. Saucedo has been on the injured list since April 30, and Wednesday's move is simply procedural to make room on the 40-man roster for Sergio Romo, who signed a one-year contract with the Blue Jays on Wednesday. Saucedo has been on a minor-league rehab assignment since mid-June and seems to be closing in on a return.

  • Blue Jays' Tayler Saucedo: Rehab shifts to Triple-A

Saucedo (hip) moved his rehab assignment to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday and tossed a scoreless frame in relief in his first appearance for the affiliate. Saucedo arrived in Buffalo over the weekend after striking out two in a scoreless inning for the Blue Jays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate a few days earlier. He'll likely make another appearance or two at Triple-A before making his return from the 10-day injured list.

  • Blue Jays' Tayler Saucedo: Rehab assignment on tap

Saucedo (hip) will begin a rehab assignment with the Blue Jays' Florida Coast League affiliate Tuesday, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports. Saucedo has been sidelined since late April due to a right hip injury but will return to game action in the minors this week. Given the length of the southpaw's absence, it seems likely that he'll require multiple rehab appearances prior to rejoining the major-league bullpen.
