Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Shifts to 60-day IL
Atlanta transferred Hernandez (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.
Hernandez had been on the shelf since Sept. 12 due to right shoulder inflammation, and his move to the 60-day IL officially spells an end to his season. Before getting hurt, Hernandez made 39 appearances out of the Atlanta bullpen and logged a 3.41 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 33:30 K:BB across 37 innings.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Out with shoulder injury
Atlanta placed Hernandez on the 15-day injured list Friday with right shoulder inflammation.
Hernandez hasn't pitched in nearly a week, but he allowed three runs while recording just two outs in that outing. He will be eligible for activation during the final week of the season, but given the nature of the injury, Hernandez's 2025 campaign could be over.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Recalled from Gwinnett
Atlanta recalled Hernandez from Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.
Hernandez will give manager Brian Snitker a fresh bullpen arm. The hard-throwing righty has a 2.72 ERA but also a 33:30 K:BB over 36.1 frames this season with the big club.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Sent back to minors
Atlanta optioned Hernandez to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.
Hernandez has managed a 2.72 ERA in 36.1 innings this season, but a 33:30 K:BB doesn't paint a pretty picture. He'll report to Gwinnett as Atlanta adds a fresh bullpen arm in his place.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Back in majors
Atlanta recalled Hernandez from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
The right-hander was optioned to Triple-A just before the All-Star break but is back in the big leagues with Grant Holmes (elbow) landing on the injured list. Hernandez had made 30 relief appearances in the majors this season and has a 2.10 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 30:24 K:BB over 30 innings.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Sent to Gwinnett
Atlanta optioned Hernandez to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
The right-hander enters Sunday having pitched three of the previous four days, so he'll head to the minors in favor of a fresh bullpen arm in right-hander Wander Suero, who was called up from Gwinnett. Hernandez has recorded seven holds with a 2.10 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 30:24 K:BB across 30 innings this season, so he's a strong bet to rejoin Atlanta's bullpen during the second half of the campaign.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Back from injured list
Atlanta activated Hernandez (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Hernandez missed the last month of action with right forearm inflammation but is ready to roll after making one scoreless rehab appearance. The righty was handling a high-leverage role before getting hurt but could be eased back into the late innings.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Begins rehab assignment
Hernandez (forearm) tossed a perfect inning with one strikeout in his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
Hernandez has been shelved since early June with right forearm inflammation. Because his absence has been relatively brief, the reliever shouldn't require too many rehab outings before being activated from the 15-day injured list. He's likely to be back in the Atlanta bullpen later this week if all goes well.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: On IL with forearm injury
Atlanta placed Hernandez on the 15-day injured list Friday, retroactive to June 5, with right forearm inflammation.
Hernandez exited Wednesday's game due to numbness in his right pinky, but he's been added to the injured list with a forearm injury. Hernandez has been a dependable option out of the bullpen this season, posting a 2.22 ERA and 1.40 WHIP across 24.1 innings. Dylan Dodd was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Bound for injured list
Atlanta is expected to place Hernandez (finger) on the 15-day injured list Friday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Hernandez was initially believed to be alright after exiting his outing Wednesday due to numbness in his right pinky, but he'll instead end up spending at least a couple of weeks on the injured list. Dylan Dodd will come up from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill the open spot in Atlanta's bullpen.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Battling numb finger
Hernandez was pulled from Wednesday's game versus the Diamondbacks due to numbness in his right pinky, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Manager Brian Snitker said after the game that Hernandez looked to be fine after an evaluation from the team's training staff. Atlanta may look to stay away from using Hernandez out of the bullpen for another day or two as a precaution, but a trip to the injured list shouldn't be necessary.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Removed with injury
Hernandez was removed from Wednesday's game against Arizona due to an apparent hand injury, Lindsay Crosby of AthlonSports.com reports.
Hernandez was favoring his right hand after making a pitch during the eighth inning of Wednesday's contest. It's currently unknown what kind of injury the 28-year-old reliever is dealing with, though Atlanta may offer some clarity in the near future.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Nabs third win
Hernandez (3-0) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up one hit in 1.1 scoreless innings of relief. He struck out two.
The right-hander was once again in the right place at the right time, taking the mound with two outs in the eighth inning and then watching Eli White launch a game-winning homer in the bottom of the frame. Hernandez has had a strong start to the season aside from his vultured wins, adding two holds in 11 appearances and posting a 2.38 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB through 11.1 innings.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Rounding into form
Hernandez gave up a hit and a walk over 1.1 scoreless innings while striking out four in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Phillies.
While Alec Bohm was the only likely Opening Day starter in the Philadelphia lineup, Hernandez carved up the bench players and minor leaguers he did get to face. The right-hander was still a little erratic, however -- he plunked one batter and also uncorked a wild pitch. Atlanta is hoping Hernandez can emerge as a high-leverage option this season, but he'll need to sharpen his control to take that next step after posting a 32:13 K:BB through his first 21.2 big-league innings.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Seems set for bullpen role
Hernandez appears to have a secure spot in the Atlanta bullpen following Monday's trade of Angel Perdomo to the Angels, Justin Toscano of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The 28-year-old righty hasn't dominated this spring, but his 8:3 K:BB through 7.1 Grapefruit League innings offers a glimpse at his potential. Hernandez will likely begin the season in middle relief, with Pierce Johnson, Aaron Bummer and Dylan Lee as the primary setup men to closer Raisel Iglesias.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Might have key setup role
Hernandez could take over the high-leverage role left open by the absence of Joe Jimenez (knee) in the Atlanta bullpen, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Hernandez posted a 2.50 ERA and dazzling 26:10 K:BB over 18 innings in the majors last season, collecting three wins and a hold in 16 appearances. Jimenez, who recorded a career-high 27 holds in 2024 while serving as one of the top set-up men for closer Raisel Iglesias, is expected to miss most or all of the season while recovering from October knee surgery. Pierce Johnson will handle some of those late-inning assignments, but Hernandez could be an under-the-radar holds source in 2025.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Back with big club
Atlanta recalled Hernandez from Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday.
Hernandez has spent most of this season at Gwinnett but has been terrific in 10 appearances in the majors, collecting a 0.82 ERA and 14:6 K:BB over 11 frames. He will operate as a middle reliever.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Back in minors
Atlanta optioned Hernandez to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.
Hernandez will be pushed out of Atlanta's bullpen as a result of Jimmy Herget's (shoulder) return from the injured list Saturday. Hernandez allowed his first earned run of the season during Friday's loss the Mets, giving him a 0.82 ERA through 11 major-league innings.
