  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Collects steal Saturday

Tatis went 0-for-2 with two walks, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Dodgers.

Tatis' power drought is nearing a month -- he's now gone 26 games without a homer. He's batting .263 (26-for-99) in that span, adding 11 doubles, nine RBI, 21 runs scored and four steals. That batting average is close to his mark for the full season (.266), and he's also sporting an .805 OPS, which has remained fairly steady despite the recent lack of power. Tatis has also racked up 26 steals on 32 attempts, 52 RBI, 90 runs scored, 25 doubles and two triples through 127 contests as the Padres' primary leadoff hitter.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Registers 25th steal

Tatis went 1-for-3 with two walks, one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Giants.

Tatis logged his third steal of the month and his 25th theft of the year. This is the third time in his six big-league seasons that he's recorded that many steals, and he has a good chance of reaching 30 for the first time this year. The outfielder is slashing .264/.370/.431 with 17 home runs, 51 RBI, 85 runs scored, 23 doubles and two triples over 123 contests. He's struggled a bit in August, batting .234 (15-for-64) with no homers this month.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Registers two steals

Tatis went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and one run scored in Saturday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Red Sox.

Tatis had gone nine games without a multi-hit performance. His pair of thefts Saturday also marked his first successful steal attempts since July 18 versus the Nationals. The outfielder is now at a .259/.361/.429 slash line, 17 home runs, 24 steals, 45 RBI, 80 runs scored, 19 doubles and two triples over 114 contests. He's been in a lower gear since mid-June, but he still offers enough category coverage to be a fixture in most fantasy lineups.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Not starting Wednesday

Tatis isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Tatis will get a rare off day Wednesday after going just 2-for-21 with an RBI and three runs scored through the first five games of August. While he regroups, Ryan O'Hearn will cover right field and bat fifth.
