Tatis went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
Tatis led off with his third homer in as many days to spark a three-run first inning for the Padres. The 26-year-old is closing the regular season on a strong note, hitting safely in nine of his last 10 games with four home runs, eight RBI, 13 runs scored and three stolen bases in that span. He's slashing .267/.367/.446 with 25 long balls, 71 RBI, 110 runs scored and 32 steals across 689 plate appearances.

Tatis (illness) is starting in right field and batting out of the leadoff spot in Friday's series opener against the Diamondbacks.
Tatis missed the Padres' last three games due to an illness that popped up Monday. He's been cleared to return to action Friday, and he'll look to extend his hitting streak to six games. Tatis went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in Friday's 7-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Tatis had missed three games due to an illness. He struck out three times, but his one hit was a big one, giving the Padres a 5-2 lead in the fourth inning when he took Zac Gallen deep for a grand slam. Tatis has gone 22-for-78 (.282) with six homers and 13 RBI over 20 games in September. Tatis produced the Padres' only extra-base hit in the contest with his 432-foot solo shot in the third inning. The talented right fielder has been hot of late, collecting five multi-hit efforts over his past eight contests and batting .406 (13-for-32) with two homers, three RBI, 11 runs and three stolen bases over that span. Tatis has posted a fine .805 OPS through 681 appearances in what has been a promisingly healthy campaign, adding 23 homers and 66 RBI while establishing new career highs with 108 runs and 32 stolen bases.

It was the third multi-steal game of the season by Tatis, who swiped multiple bags for the first time since Aug. 9 against Boston. The All-Star right fielder has at least two hits in four of his last seven outings amid his first career 20-homer, 30-steal campaign. Through 580 at-bats, Tatis is hitting .266 with 22 long balls and 65 RBI to go with career highs in runs scored (107) and steals (32).
