Jones doubled in the second run of Cleveland's two-run second inning. He's stayed healthy this season following an injury-laden 2024, but health has not brought back Jones' rookie form of 2023, when he had a .931 OPS with 20 home runs and 20 steals. He's batting .216/.302/.324 with three homers, four steals and 19 RBI through 68 games. On a brighter note, Jones' OPS has improved each month with his .740 for the month June outpacing that of March/April (.570) and May (.616).

Jones got the Guardians on the board with his RBI double in the fourth inning. He has gone 3-for-5 with two walks and two extra-base hits over the last two games. The outfielder still has a paltry .220/.309/.333 slash line with four steals, three home runs, 18 RBI and 13 runs scored over 182 plate appearances, but he may be finding his swing at the plate. Jones went 0-for-8 with two walks and three strikeouts over his previous five games, though he was mostly limited to pinch-hitting duties during a stretch of four straight left-handed starters facing the Guardians. He had previously been holding down a near-everyday role to begin June, but Johnathan Rodriguez is platooning with Jones in right field now. Jones' second stint in Cleveland isn't going all that well, as he has a .212/.299/.321 slash line with three homers, 17 RBI, 12 runs scored, three stolen bases, six doubles and a triple over 178 plate appearances.

Jones delivered a two-run single in the fourth inning plated the Guardians final two runs. He's hit safely in four straight, with three of those being multi-hit efforts, and knocked in at least one run in those four contests. After enduring a season-opening slump, Jones appears to be getting on track. Over the last 16 games, the outfielder is 16-for-48 (.333) with 10 RBI. The surge has lifted him above the Mendoza line for the first time since Opening Day.

Jones entered Wednesday's game after left fielder Steven Kwan (wrist) was removed and went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored in a 7-4 win over the Dodgers.
Jones delivered a two-run single as part of the Guardians' five-run uprising in the eighth inning. He's largely scuffled through the first two months of the season, and Wednesday's effort upped his average to .194 with 12 RBI across 50 games. Kwan's injury is described as inflammation, and it's unclear how much time he'll need. Jones is one of several candidates that can fill in at left field, but Kwan could be back following the team's day off Thursday.

After being withheld from the lineup in matchups against right-handed pitching last Thursday and Friday, the left-handed-hitting Jones looked as though he might have moved behind Jhonkensy Noel on the depth chart in right field. However, the playing time has since tilted back in Jones' favor, with the 27-year-old now getting his fifth start in as many games Wednesday. Jones is still holding down a weak .596 OPS for the season, so he'll likely need to start raking to build up some job security.
