  • Brewers' Daz Cameron: Outrighted to Nashville

Cameron cleared waivers Saturday and was sent outright to Triple-A Nashville, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Cameron posted an outstanding 1.274 OPS in 52 plate appearances in Triple-A after joining the Brewers organization in early April, but he went just 8-for-41 (.195) with three RBI and seven runs scored during his time with the big club. He'll officially remain with the organization after passing through waivers unclaimed.

  • Brewers' Daz Cameron: Booted off 40-man roster

The Brewers designated Cameron for assignment Tuesday. The transaction clears spots on the 26-man and 40-man rosters for the addition of Anthony Seigler. Cameron slashed only .195/.214/.293 in 21 games with the Brewers but could draw interest on waivers from a team in need of outfield depth.

  • Brewers' Daz Cameron: Back from paternity leave

The Brewers activated Cameron (personal) from the paternity list Monday. Cameron was away for the final three games of the weekend series against the Cardinals but will be back for the start of the Brewers' series in Chicago versus the Cubs that begins Tuesday. The Brewers are scheduled to face all righties this week, so the right-handed-hitting Cameron might not see much playing time.

  • Brewers' Daz Cameron: Lands on paternity list

The Brewers placed Cameron on the paternity list Friday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Cameron will step away from the team for a few days to be with his growing family. Drew Avans was called up from Triple-A Nashville to bolster Milwaukee's outfield for this weekend's series versus St. Louis.

  • Brewers' Daz Cameron: Raps out three hits in win

Cameron (knee) went 3-for-6 with a double and two runs in Saturday's 17-7 win over the Phillies. After suffering a left knee contusion Monday, Cameron didn't start the Brewers' ensuing three games, though he was used off the bench Wednesday. He made enough improvement to enter the lineup in left field Saturday, and he came through with his best effort of the season, with his three hits exceeding his total (two) from his first 21 at-bats with Milwaukee. With Jackson Chourio having shifted over to center field since Garrett Mitchell (oblique) landed on the injured list April 26, the Brewers have given opportunities in left field to Isaac Collins, Jake Bauers and Cameron, but none of the three has been able to take control of the job. After his strong showing Saturday, Cameron might not have to wait long to get his next start, but he'll likely need multiple quality performances at the dish to gain more job security.

  • Brewers' Daz Cameron: Back in lineup Saturday

Cameron (knee) is starting in left field and batting fifth against the Phillies on Saturday. Cameron has been out of the Brewers' lineup since bruising his left knee during Monday's game against the Red Sox. He did pinch run for Milwaukee against Boston on Wednesday and has been cleared to return to the lineup. Cameron has gone 2-for-21 with one RBI, one steal and a 40.9 percent strikeout rate this season.

  • Brewers' Daz Cameron: Early exit Monday

Cameron exited Monday's game against the Red Sox after the sixth inning due to a left knee contusion, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports. Cameron went 0-for-3 at the plate before departing the contest, and he popped out to second base in the bottom of the sixth inning before being replaced by Sal Frelick in right field. Cameron's next chance to play will come Tuesday against Boston, though it's not a guarantee he'll be in the lineup even if he's healthy.

  • Brewers' Daz Cameron: Swipes first bag

Cameron went 1-for-2 with a steal, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 4-0 victory over the Cubs. Cameron entered the game as a replacement for Sal Frelick (knee) in the fourth inning. The 28-year-old journeyman made the most of his opportunity, stealing his first major-league base since Sept. 6, 2024, when he was with the Athletics. The extent of Frelick's injury is unknown that this time; however, Cameron and Jake Bauers would be the most likely candidates to see an increased role if Frelick has to be placed on the injured list.

  • Brewers' Daz Cameron: Officially promoted

The Brewers selected Cameron's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday. Milwaukee will call upon Cameron to provide the team with some outfield depth while Garrett Mitchell (oblique) spends time on the injured list. Cameron, 28, boasts a 1.274 OPS in Triple-A since being acquired by the Brewers on April 7, which could be enough to buy him an occasional start with the big club. Blake Perkins (shin) was transferred to the 60-day IL to clear space on the 40-man roster.

  • Brewers' Daz Cameron: Bound for Milwaukee

The Brewers are expected to select Cameron's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports. Cameron has been hot in the minors since being traded from Baltimore on April 7, slashing .372/.417/.837 with five homers, 16 RBI, nine runs scored and three steals across 10 games with the Sounds. He'll help give the Brewers some depth in the outfield, though he could get opportunities to start if Garrett Mitchell (oblique) ends up on the injured list.

  • Orioles' Daz Cameron: Outrighted to Triple-A

The Orioles outrighted Cameron to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports. Cameron is no longer on the 40-man roster but will be in camp as a non-roster invitee. The 28-year-old is slated to open the season as outfield depth at Norfolk.

  • Orioles' Daz Cameron: Designated for assignment

The Orioles designated Cameron for assignment Friday. With the recent additions of Dylan Carlson and Ramon Laureano, Cameron became superfluous. The 28-year-old is out of minor-league options, which figures to hurt his appeal on waivers.

  • Orioles' Daz Cameron: Shipped to Baltimore

The Athletics traded Cameron to the Orioles on Thursday in exchange for cash. After slashing .200/.258/.329 with 15 RBI across 186 plate appearances with the A's last season, Cameron will now move across the country to give the Orioles some additional outfield depth. Given how crowded Baltimore's outfield room is already, it's unlikely the 27-year-old takes on a meaningful role with the O's in 2025.

  • Athletics' Daz Cameron: Losing work vs. RHPs

Cameron is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers. Cameron appears to have lost hold of a regular spot in the Oakland lineup, as he'll take a seat for the Athletics' fifth consecutive matchup with a right-handed starter or opening pitcher. The left-handed-hitting Tristan Gray seems to have displaced Cameron in the everyday lineup, but the right-handed-hitting Cameron should still be a regular presence in the starting nine when the Athletics oppose lefties.

  • Athletics' Daz Cameron: Registers fifth steal

Cameron went 1-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base in Friday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Tigers. Cameron had a decent game, including his third steal in his last 11 contests. He's gone 8-for-40 (.200) with four RBI and 16 strikeouts in that span. However, it was the man who pinch hit for him -- Seth Brown -- who was the hero in Friday's contest with two clutch hits in extra innings. Cameron is at a .190/.255/.331 slash line with five home runs, five steals, 14 RBI and 19 runs scored over 157 plate appearances this year. Cameron has remained the Athletics' fourth outfielder even with Miguel Andujar (abdomen) being shut down for the year in late August.

  • Athletics' Daz Cameron: Filling in for injured Andujar

Cameron will start in left field and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Reds. The Athletics look set to give Cameron a look in an everyday role after Miguel Andujar (core) was placed on the injured list Wednesday. While Andujar was held out of the lineup both of the previous two contests, Cameron filled in for him in left field and went 1-for-6 with an RBI and a stolen base. Cameron is slashing .202/.279/.368 with five home runs and four steals across 129 plate appearances in the big leagues for the season.

  • Athletics' Daz Cameron: Records third steal

Cameron went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in a win over the Rays on Thursday. Cameron drew his sixth start of August and managed to rap out a single for the third straight game. The journeyman outfielder appears set for intermittent playing time down the stretch, and his fantasy utility is very limited while sitting on a .189/.275/.358 slash line, even if he does have five homers and three steals in 120 MLB plate appearances this year.

  • Athletics' Daz Cameron: Doubles in rare start

Cameron went 1-for-4 with a double and a run in a win over the Blue Jays on Sunday. Cameron drew his first start since last Monday and delivered his second extra-base hit since July 27. The little-used veteran holds just a .185 average and .659 OPS across 38 games at the big-league level in 2024, so his opportunities are likely to remain sparse as long as good health prevails in the Athletics' outfield.

  • Athletics' Daz Cameron: Reaches twice in low-scoring win

Cameron went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a walk in a win over the Angels on Saturday. Cameron managed to hit safely for the fourth straight start dating back to July 12 and added his first steal since June 1 for good measure. The 27-year-old is seeing occasional opportunities in the outfield and has also slotted in twice as the designated hitter, but his .184 average and .626 OPS don't make much of a case for reliable playing time.

  • Athletics' Daz Cameron: Productive in leadoff role

Cameron went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run in a win over the Phillies on Friday. Usual leadoff hitter JJ Bleday opened the game on the bench with southpaw Ranger Suarez on the mound for the Phillies, and Cameron took advantage of his first taste of game action since last Saturday. The young outfielder has offered some decent pop -- he's laced five of his 12 hits for extra bases -- and has drawn walks at an impressive 11.1 percent clip. However, Cameron has also been saddled by an astoundingly low .180 BABIP, and he's been given scant opportunity to work out the kinks of late even with Esteury Ruiz's (wrist) absence now well into its second month.
