Eades signed a minor-league contract with the Astros on Wednesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Eades made his major-league debut with the Twins and Orioles in 2019 and posted a 2.38 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 11.1 innings across eight relief appearances. He didn't pitch in 2020 but will report to Triple-A Sugar Land now that the minor-league season has begun.

  • Orioles' Ryan Eades: Outrighted to Triple-A

Eades cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

Eades threw 11.1 innings for the Orioles in his big-league debut last season. He allowed just three runs, though his 10:6 K:BB wasn't particularly convincing.

  • Orioles' Ryan Eades: Recalled to majors

Eades was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday.

The Orioles claimed Eades off waivers on Aug. 14 and he's now in line to make his debut with the club. Since joining his new organization, Eades has turned in 1.2 scoreless frames with Triple-A Norfolk. He's likely to serve as bullpen depth in the big leagues.

  • Orioles' Ryan Eades: Claimed by Orioles

Eades was claimed off waivers by the Orioles on Wednesday and optioned to Triple-A Norfolk.

After pitching 3.2 scoreless frames for the Twins in mid-June, Eades finds himself in the Orioles organization. In 50.2 innings at the Triple-A level this season, the 27-year-old carries an ERA of 5.51 with a 63:16 K:BB. Right-handed pitcher Jimmy Yacabonis was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

  • Twins' Ryan Eades: Optioned to minors

Eades was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Thursday.

The 27-year-old pitched 3.2 scoreless innings in two appearances with the Twins but was optioned to Triple-A to make room for Fernando Romero on the 25-man roster. It was an effective major-league debut for Eades, though, and he could find himself back in the Twins bullpen before the end of the season.

  • Twins' Ryan Eades: Climbs up to majors

Eades' contract was purchased from Triple-A Rochester prior to Saturday's game in Detroit, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

This marks the major-league debut for the 27-year-old right-hander after he logged a 4.35 FIP and a 39:12 K:BB in 31.2 innings with Rochester. Look for him to mostly work in low-leverage situations.
