  • Kevin Kiermaier: Moves into front-office role

Kiermaier joined the Blue Jays' front office as a special assistant on Saturday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

The veteran outfielder spent the majority of his career in Tampa Bay but was in Toronto for most of his final two seasons, and that's where he'll begin his post-playing career as a resource for outfielders. Kiermaier announced in July he would be retiring after the 2024 season, and he's apparently had no second thoughts following the completion of his 12th MLB campaign.

  • Dodgers' Kevin Kiermaier: Bumped off roster

Kiermaier is not on the Dodgers' World Series roster, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Kiermaier was included on the NLCS roster instead of Miguel Rojas (thigh), but Rojas is healthy enough to return to action for the World Series. Kiermaier has announced he will retire after the season, so the outfielder has played in his last major-league game, barring him being an injury replacement later in the series.

  • Dodgers' Kevin Kiermaier: Makes NLCS roster

Kiermaier (finger) is included on Los Angeles' roster for the NLCS versus the Mets, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Kiermaier dislocated his left ring finger late in the regular season and wasn't part of the Dodgers' NLDS victory over San Diego, but he's apparently now healthy and ready to play. The veteran outfielder came to Los Angeles at the trade deadline in a deal with Toronto, and over 34 contests with Los Angeles he posted a .203/.242/.322 slash line to go along with one home run, eight RBI, seven runs and a stolen base. Kiermaier announced earlier in the campaign that this will be his final season in the majors, and he'll have a chance to contribute to a World Series push as a reserve outfielder who is still capable of playing excellent defense.

  • Dodgers' Kevin Kiermaier: Day-to-day with dislocated finger

Manager Dave Roberts said after Saturday's 13-2 win over the Rockies that Kiermaier is day-to-day after dislocating his left ring finger, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Kiermaier was seen grabbing his finger after sliding into second base on an attempt to extend his RBI single in the fourth inning into a double. He was able to pop his finger back in, but he was replaced by Andy Pages in the bottom of the frame.
