This marks the first time this season that Yelich will get a look in the leadoff spot, resulting in Sal Frelick being bumped down to the No. 5 spot in the order. Yelich hasn't had a great month of September at the plate thus far, batting .231 with two home runs, eight RBI, one stolen base and six runs scored in 14 matchups.

Yelich will dodge a same-handed matchup against southpaw Matthew Liberatore on Sunday, clearing a spot in the lineup at designated hitter for Rhys Hoskins. While starting in each of Milwaukee's previous 11 games, Yelich went 12-for-48 (.250 average) with two home runs.
Yelich went 3-for-5 with an RBI double and a two-run home run in Tuesday's 9-2 victory over the Angels.
Yelich opened the scoring with an RBI double to right field in the first inning, and then added his 29th homer of the season with a two-run shot to straightaway center in the fourth inning. Yelich clubbed his 28th homer of the year and his first of the month of September. The 33-year-old slugger has been a five-category fantasy producer in 2025, batting .267 with 18 doubles, 95 RBI, 84 runs scored and 16 stolen bases over 136 games. Yelich is also two long balls away from the third 30-homer campaign of his career and five RBI shy of his second career 100-RBI season.
Yelich went 2-for-5 with an RBI single, a double and a stolen base during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers.
Yelich returned Monday from a five-game absence due to a back injury. He didn't seem to have any restrictions Tuesday, stealing his 16th base of the season and legging out his 18th double. In his last 14 games, Yelich is 16-for-48 (.333) with a 6:9 BB:K. He has an .814 OPS on the year.
